The laminating treatment is a pale pink colour, creamy in consistency and is supposed to be applied after the shampoo and conditioner for 5 minutes before rinsing. It has quite a chemically scent (similar to the shampoo) but thankfully does not linger long after rinsing as I am not a fan of the scent. Upon application it does feel like it is softening and smoothing the hair. I don't find it overly moisturizing however, upon rinsing my hair was still on the dry/damaged side. I found it easy to rinse out with no residue left behind. The glycolic gloss routine is meant to smooth the hair fibre’s surface and provide a glossy shine however it did nothing to resist humidity so any smoothness effect it had after washing, was completely struck out as soon as I walked outside. It’s a great product as part of the Loreal Paris Elvive Glycolic Gloss range as it clearly helps to make my hair smooth and shiny. However I wish it held up better against humidity because the smoothing function was the biggest selling point of this and I was a little let down. When it’s not humid though, it does a great job of keeping my hair tamed! Unfortunately being in Sydney, the humidity is pretty constant..

Best of the 'Glycolic Gloss' bunch

I was so excited to receive this bundle and really wanted to love it, but it just isn't for my hair type (bleach blonde/dry/damaged). I have seen some great reviews, but this product seems more effective on darker pigments.The laminate was my favourite of the bunch, this did what I wanted the conditioner to do, it relaxed my hair and detangled.The price at $30 RRP seems quite high. Whist this is a step above 'supermarket haircare', I personally would buy a salon treatment with moisture. Moisture = shine with my hair type.I currently have tape extensions in my hair as well, so I was able to test these products on two different hair types. As someone with combination hair, I did find it exacerbated my oily roots a little so I had to wash my hair sooner than I usually do. That's only a minor gripe though and certainly wouldn't dissuade me from using it regularly alongside my ride or die Elvive Hydra Pure Shampoo.The conditioner has a nice consistency that spreads effortlessly through the lengths and ends of my hair, helping to detangle them nicely. As with the shampoo, the texture of my hair magically transformed and felt much more supple and wonderfully smooth. The conditioner rinses away quickly and cleanly leaving zero residue to weigh down my very fine hair. As a stand alone product, it provides an amazing level of hydration as well as a gorgeous glossy shine like nothing I have ever experienced before (well, maybe when I was 12 before I started abusing my hair lol).The 5 Minute Lamination Rinse-off Treatment is slightly thicker in texture than the conditioner yet still spreads easily through the lengths and ends of my pre washed and conditioned damp hair. I left it in my hair for the recommended five minutes, and like the previous two products in the glossing system, found it rinsed away quickly and cleanly with zero residue to weigh down my fine hair. I thought my hair felt soft, hydrated and super smooth after using the conditioner, but this 5 Minute Lamination Rinse-off Treatment took it to a whole new level of wow! Another thing that impressed me is that it is colour safe which is a must have factor when choosing my haircare products.The Glycolic Gloss Leave In Serum is not only pink but also packed with microsparkles that further help to reflect the light and enhance shine. I find two pumps is sufficient product for the lengths and ends my hair (just below shoulder length) which I typically apply to damp hair, although you can apply it to dry hair is you so desire (I sometimes apply an additional pump finish my hairstyle). The serum doesn't feel sticky or add weight and once my hair is blow dried, I'm always amazed at just how healthy and shiny it looks as well as being full of movement - it definitely has the swoosh factor! It also controls frizz/flyaways and the glossy shine enhances my colour magnificently. It is worth noting that the serum does not contain a heat protector so I totally recommend using Elvive Dream Lengths Heat Slayer Spray.Overall, this Elvive Glycolic Gloss range is absolutely superb and has definitely brought the life back to my once 'meh' hair!
