This product is great if you are desperately trying to find something that matches your tone and undertones, and if you are looking for a buildable liquid foundation.  However, I still like this foundation to come off of me at the end of the day. (if you are super sensitive, this product may not be for you.) it does hold up quite well, but I would highly recommend that you pair it with the powder. Plus, N0.5 (super fair neutral) can be hard to find. If this is a product that you just cannot stand but you’re able to find a color in it, that you like, use that as a springboard to help find a foundation that’s a better fit for you.

L'Oréal offer true match foundation in a 40 shades currently, meaning there's a good chance you'll be able to find a good match for your skin. I really love this matte option for oily skin. I do find it gets oily with your skin later in the day but the makeup stays put and it tends to look more healthy skin that grease slick. If you really dont want this, I find it adapts well to whatever you prime and finish your skin with, so if you want a matter look, go for mattifying primers and setting sprays. Beautiful and perfect shade! Stays on all day!

I started using LOreal True Match 5W about eight months ago and I love it! I am Spanish with Asian descent, so my skin has a little yellow undertone and its hard to get a perfect color, but True Match has soooo many shades that I was able to find the perfect one! I used to mix 2 to 3 different shades of Physicians Formula to find a good color, but now I only have to use one shade of True Match! I wear it to the office every day and it stays on all day. It goes on smoothly and covers my small freckles with a little extra foundation around that area. I am VERY pleased with this product and I highly recommend it.

Great makeup

I’ve been using this same makeup since 2004! I wish the bottle didn’t change to this pump bottle. I miss the glass jar with the screw on lid where you could pour out the makeup and you could use ALL the makeup. The pump only pumps out so much at the end when the bottle is getting empty but you can’t get ALL OFF IT out. The liquid makeup itself is still great though. Light and doesn’t look caked on. You can build it to your liking onto your face. It does cover well even though it isn’t full coverage. Great for any age as I have used this in my 20s, 30s and now at 40! Price is great and quality is comparable to a couple very expensive designer brands for sure! Doesn’t get oily or break out your face easy to wash off at the end of the day. Light and easy. Love it

If it were long wear it would be perfect

I'm at the darker end of light, can get away with the lighter end of medium shades, and this seems to come in at a light-medium and it truly has neutral undertones, which you can never go wrong with if you're on the fence about cool or warm. Not too matte, not too glowy, just the right amount of everything. I prefer a medium coverage and this nearly meets it. It actually could be a good medium coverage but because the shade match is so good the result is just a better me. I do use powder, Coty Air spun, which I've used for decades as well, and they play nicely together. What I don't like is that this does transfer to my glasses, and it does tend to slide and rub off as the day goes on, but not in a horrible way. On the days I don't need a foundation to last past a 16 hour work day, true match is my go to. I really like the finished result. But working two jobs means I want my foundation to last as long as possible, and this is where it doesn't perform for me. This is where it loses points. It doesn't claim to be a long wear and I don't expect it to do something it won't do, but I love being surprised when something overachieves. This isn't that foundation. The bottom line is it's a fabulous product that looks great on mature skin and does a great job if you're going somewhere special or you don't need a powerhouse of a foundation. I do use this on the daily when I have a "normal" day, and I've repurchased it several times. There is a reason this has been around a long time, it's that good. I'm glad I finally gave it another shot.

Not a fan.

Terrible changing of the product. I was in love with the original foundation and had been buying it for 2 years. And now they changed it??? What used to be a dream product with the perfect shade, consistency, and natural look is a joke. It’s oily, not natural looking, and these new shades are ridiculous. I used to wear the shade N5.5 perfect beige and it’s not even an option to try and see your new shade!! This was L’oréal’s biggest mistake. I cant believe I won’t be able to get an amazing product anymore. This is the worst “improvement” of a product. Why they changed it I don’t know. I’m begging. Please change it back!!! Perfect Match

Wow, I'm impressed with this foundation. A little goes a long way, it just keeps spreading. and sinks into the skin. I found it good to just blend in with your hands. I used the shade finder match and it was the perfect match for me. Looks very natural, my skin but better. The price point is also very impressive, think this is my favourite foundation so far despite using top brands like fenty and lancome. 5*

Perfect colour, flawless natural looking skin

Bought this a few days ago after some research online - very fair skin and ordered (0.5c). Perfect match, made my skin look like a china doll (in a good way!) lightweight and not cakey. Quite runny but I liked that, started at the T-zone and used a combination of fingers, brush and sponge to blend outwards. I have some slightly flakey dry areas as well as a few blemishes but this foundation really concealed them well. I cleansed, lightly exfoliated, moisturised, jojoba oil and sunscreened beforehand. No pilling - really pleased with the product !!

With the new formula, that is too liquid, you have to put up to three layers, and even with a single layer the skin looks terrible; I think that if we were looking for an ultralight coverage we would choose to buy a BB cream, or if we were looking for hydration we would buy theL´oreal True Match Hyaluronic Tinted serum; or if we were looking for luminosity we would buy the True Match Lumi, but that we are looking is a nice matte coverage wich is not provided by the new version.Something that really annoys and makes customers feel unhappy is the publicity that they have given in some stores in Canada, where customers are confused and believe that only the packaging has been changed, but after having bought, the reality is different.I just hope, my concerns be heard, because I Would not like to stop being a fan of your products.
