There’s a scent to these products. I enjoy it but if scents give you headaches would not recommend. The shampoo consistency is more on the runny side but not too watered down. The conditioner isn’t thick but works very well. I would say even better than the shampoo but it’s a good duo. I really appreciate this shampoo. I've used another brand for probably 15 years. After I had covid, my nose smelled things in a strange way and my regular shampoo became offensive to me. I needed to find a replacement that I could handle the smell. This shampoo exceeds my expectations and I find that my hair is just as healthy as the other brand and the smell works with my nose now.

I have shoulder length hair that has become dry and damaged from dying styling my hair for work. I bought this shampoo HOPING it would work wonders for my hair, but kept low expectations. Needless to say it has gone above and beyond what I expected, and even more so paired with the Elvive hair mask. My hair smells amazing and I can’t remember the last time it was this soft and shiny. I’m in love! Definitely recommend and will be buying again.

L'Oreal total repair 5 shampoo and conditioner are great for so many reasons. First one being it makes your hair feel amazing! I'm a natural brunette but color my hair blonde. The amount of upkeep it takes to maintain blonde locs is not only a lot but also very hard on your hair. This shampoo made my hair feel less course, gave it shine, and made it all around more manageable. People think you need to spend a lot on a product otherwise it's not good-- I'm guilty of that way of thinking myself. Total repair 5 is super affordable and leaves your hair feeling moisturized, shiny, and healthy.
I bought the shampoo and conditioner as well as the Repair 5 Erasing Balm and when I use them together, my hair is incredibly soft and shiny. I usually use Biolage or Redken and this is comparable if you’re on a budget! There isn’t much scent to it but it lathers nice and really nourishes and hydrates my hair. I have only used them a few times so I can’t speak for whether it fixes damaged hair but so far I like it a lot! I have long, thin, and damaged hair and I can feel a difference and my husband has complimented my hair since uses these! I definitely recommend buying all 3!

I just wanted to say this is a MIRACLE in a bottle! I wanted to go blonde from medium brown and it required more lightening than I thought it would. After 2 bleaches, my hair was quite compromised as you can imagine. My hair was falling out and very dry so breakage was profound. I dyed it a couple more times to try to tone it but it didn't really work, causing further damage. I absolutely love this stuff! I am constantly receiving compliments on my “healthy looking” hair! I only use it twice a week, because I do not wash my hair every day, and after just two weeks of using it, I had seen stunning results! My hair is naturally curly, and when it’s cold outside, I straighten it all the time. But I had significant split ends, and my hair looked fried. Elvive has been a miracle worker!
