Still the best boots out there. Slightly heavier than the Zephyr but just as comfortable and possibly even sturdier. This is my fourth pair of Lowa and frankly, there is no other shoe or boot I'd rather wear. I use them for pretty much anything from walking around town to technical trails in the mountains and in all seasons; even in the harsh Canadian winters, they keep me comfortable in temperatures as low as -20.

I bought a pair of Lowa Renegade GTX Mid boots when I was in Alaska. I wore them for 4 years nearly every single day, all year, rain or shine for hunting, fishing, ATV riding. The soles are basically unworn. The leather is in slightly worn shape. I decided to spend half a car payment on these new Lowa TF Z-8S GTX C boots because the last pair I bought are still amazing. I just got them today and couldn’t get my Nike combat boots off fast enough. Let me tell you, these boost fit like no other. Plenty of support in the ankle, heel is wide enough so you don’t feel like you’re walking in high heels, comfortable upper and the footbed feels like classic lowa supportive and firm.Bite the bullet and get these boots. Great fit and comfort. But the soles are extremely slippery on cold surfaces like packed snow. Slipping and sliding in all directions. Much worse grip than the Lowa Zephyr boots (I have gone through 4 pairs of Zephyr GTX so far). The Z-8S GTX C actually has the worst grip of all my boots and shoes, including a pair of standard Blundstone boots. Very disappointing. Have to wait until next fall to try the Z-8S on wet rock and moss, but honestly do not have high hopes. I’m deducting 2 stars from the rating due to the unacceptable grip. Would not consider these boots for service use, at least not in my part of the world (northern Scandinavia).

Great product. Boots ar light, but durable. I have used them in wet snow conditions and they are keeping moisture out very well. Maybe lacing system could be better with hooks in upper part in situations when speed of putting your shoes on is essential. Other than that I can not imagine any downside.Shipping to LV was fast.Overall - I am very satisfied with product and service.

This is my second Z8s GTX because I really like these boots. I have one in tan and now this one in dark brown. I have mostly worn them at work in all kinds of weather conditions down to freezing temps. The water proofing is excellent. The support when carrying a load is also great.Personally, I find they need a bit of a break in period but are a lot more comfortable out of the box than some of the other brands. I would highly recommend Lowa boots for professionals and hikers.
Customer service was great. I ordered them with 2 day shipping, summit hut called and let me know that they may not be there in two days and let me know the situation almost immediately. The boots did show up on time after all. And out of the box they are the most comfortable and super light boots I've ever worn for military purpose. We will see how they hold to wear and tear on flat range and field environments yet. But I'm very happy with my purchase.
Excellent construction and balance between weight and support, comes within uniform allowance claims during sales and membership promotion. Sizing is on par with standard boot sizing (not as narrow as Zephyr), Gore-Tex had no issues and is more breathable compared to older Performance Comfort technology. Note it will not be re-soleable. Fast shipping. Occasionally will not be searchable depending on which portal you join from.
Previously owned a pair of Salomon GTX before trying the lowas. Super comfy boot with minimal wear in period. Heaps of room in the toe box for going downhill and great ankle support from the 8” height. Would definitely buy them again. Fantastic, hassle free support from Toms when I needed to exchange to a bigger size.
I've put a couple miles on these boots and am looking forward to more.I followed the go hunt boot sizing instructions and who would have thought! I got a pair that fit first try.No complaints.
