Probably one of the best-selling outdoor shoes in Europe, made specifically for women's feet over a women's last. For sure a good choice! This "classic" among the multifunctional shoes offers a wide range of uses thanks to a stable shaft made of 1.6 mm nubuck leather and an innovative sole construction and is ideal for hiking on paved paths and trails. The GORE-TEX lining makes the shoe absolutely waterproof and offers the best climate comfort. The innovative LOWA "MONOWRAP " construction forms a solid unit with the upper, stabilizes and protects in particularly stressed areas. The heel stabilizer allows a harmonious initiation of the rolling movement and the 7/8 TPU Stabilizer provides optimal torsion and flexion stability. The slip-resistant Vibram "Evo" rubber sole is ideal for a variety of outd.

Buyer Beware- Inferior Quality Product

I will never buy a Lowa product again. Poor quality. Poor customer support from Lowa Boots.

My wife and I both invested in Lowa boots and she has been very happy with hers. They fit true to size and comfort level is fantastic. They thing that seems to have jumped out and impressed my wife with these boots is how solid they are, but how light they are. She was expecting them to be heavier. For not being insulated, she's also pleased that her feet were not cold wearing a nice Merino wool hiking sock only. The last positive, on these boots is that they hold the foot snuggly, but comfortably and you still have some room in the toe box. You don't feel like you feet are cramped at all. It is a great balance of a secure fit, but roominess which adds to the comfort for longer treks and specifically as the weather warms up a bit. Highly recommend the Lowa products ... MoreMy wife and I both invested in Lowa boots and she has been very happy with hers. They fit true to size and comfort level is fantastic. Fell apart in 1-year. Lowa does not stand behind their products.

I have used all manner of Lowa boots. Particularly their Task Force line which mostly are made in Germany and not Slovakia like these ones. The German made ones have held up for years through the worst possible abuse you can give to boots and based on that I cannot recomment Lowa enough. That said, I bought this Renegad model for my wife thinking the quality would be on-par given the price. I can say after only mild use in 1-year, they have blown apart of that toe seam on both boots. Lowa support would not cover them under warranty and said to send them (at our expense) for "review and inspection and possible repair". I'm sorry when you're paying ~$350 for hiking boots and they fall apart after 1-year, I expect better customer service. Full stop. Lowas, stand behind ... MoreI have used all manner of Lowa boots. Finally, a boot that fits
2 June 2022

My wife has difficulty finding shoes and boots that fit her. We ordered several brands of hiking shoes and boots. We ended up with Lowa shoes and boots. I left a review for the shoes. These Lowa boots are the best! We ordered the regular and the wide sizes. The wide pair fit her perfectly right from the start. The build-quality is excellent! After several hikes, the boots are consistently well-fitting.Yes, Lowa boots are expensive. Due to the great fit, and the excellent quality of these boots, they are worth it, no question. My wife is very happy with them. This boot can even be re-soled when that wears out. What more can I say?

Found my boot!
20 October 2022

Took my time shopping for some boots… these do not disappoint. True to size, lightweight and easy to clean. Took long walks on both pavement as well as muddy trails and still no blisters. Wouldn’t say they are the warmest but with merino wool socks it does the trick. Great color choices too. The company does insist however that we use a waterproofing agent every now and then, otherwise the efficiency will wear off. I will without a doubt do this to keep them a long time since they are pricey.( that’s the reason for the 4 stars)

Horrible
24 May 2022

I normally don't write negative reviews ..but I think these should come with a warning. This is my third pair of hiking boots, I thought I would give a more expensive brand a try since I hike every weekend. I have a pair of Columbia's that had zero break in time, I had a pair of cheap Amazon $50 foxellis that were fantastic and crazy comfy, zero break in time, never one blister. These left horrible blisters on the back of both ankles within 2 miles of my hike. There is a bump on the heel inside the shoe, and because the shoe is so stiff you cannot stop it from rubbing even with Band-Aids and tape. Also, because they are so stiff you constantly have to stop and tighten up the ankle when going uphill. There is nothing worse than having a gear failure so bad that you ... MoreI normally don't write negative reviews ..but I think these should come with a warning. And when I only have weekends to enjoy them, these boots made me very angry when I realized I had to turn around. Returned them. Horrible.

Love my Lowas!
28 November 2021

This is my fourth pair of Lowa hiking boots, third in this style, and as always they are perfect and comfy right out of the box with no break-in time required. I wear a 7.5 in shoes and that's what I always get for these boots as well. My feet are on the narrower side and slightly long, with a high arch/instep. Some brands are too wide and too short for me, but Lowas are always just right. Lightweight but warm and supportive, they are great all year round, including most of our cold, wet Michigan winters. I switch to taller boots when the snow cover is more than ankle deep, but these are great for all the rest of the time. I wear them pretty much every day for hikes in the woods with my dogs, and they hold up pretty well. However they don't seem to last quite as ... MoreThis is my fourth pair of Lowa hiking boots, third in this style, and as always they are perfect and comfy right out of the box with no break-in time required. I wear them pretty much every day for hikes in the woods with my dogs, and they hold up pretty well. However they don't seem to last quite as long as the Bora model from a few years ago (my first Lowas). Each time, within a year, the toes on my two previous pairs of Renegades developed cracks and started to come apart, which makes them pretty much useless unless the weather is warm and dry, which this is Michigan so forget it. Pretty disappointing for such an expensive boot, as I'd definitely rather not have to replace them annually after wearing them for an hour or two a day in pretty non-punishing conditions. Compare that to my Boras which lasted me a good couple of years of regular use including several backcountry trips on rough terrain in Arizona, including the Grand Canyon. Still, I have yet to find anything else as comfortable or that meets my needs as well as these. The only other issue is that the laces come loose as I walk unless I double-tie them, which is annoying to have to do and makes it impossible to adjust the instep and ankle to different degrees of tightness (as previous pairs have enabled). The bottom of the three speedhooks does not hold them tightly enough, so if you like your fit looser at the instep and tighter around the ankle (which I do), forget it, because that hook won't hold it firmly enough to allow this and eventually the looseness will work itself all the way up until you have no ankle support whatsoever and you'll have to stop and fuss with it, which is annoying.

Love my Women's Lowa Renegades
25 January 2023

I live in Wisconsin, and I've worn Lowa Renegades for ten years. I live in them, summer and winter. There is no break-in period. They're good-to-go from the moment you try them on. After ten years, it finally occurred to me to have a look at the heels. The boots were so comfortable that it never crossed my mind that anything could be amiss. Well, sure enough, the heels were seriously worn down, so I started looking for a new pair. As luck would have it, I likely found the only pair of Lowas available in my size, on sale in North America, and I found them at Al's. My only complaint is that Renegades cannot be re-soled, so you have to start over. The new boots have now taken over; the old ones serve as backup. Happy trails!

I read a post on a social media hiking group where someone asked for recommendations for good hiking boots. Several people left a rave review of Lowa hiking boots so I searched for them online. They were actually not easy to find so I was happy to find them on Altitude Sports - Alti always has the best brands! Many sizes were sold out but I was able to get a dark brown pair in my size. I initially bought in my usual size, size 8, but when I tried them on upon receiving the package, they were a bit small - my toes were touching the front of the boots. It was so easy to return and get another pair in half a size up on Altitude Sports website though. The size 8.5 fits perfectly. The. Best. Boots. Ever.
12 August 2022

This is the second pair I’ve bought this year. I wanted a second colour (and altitude FINALLY had my size when they were on sale in the blue). They’re beautiful. I sized up 1.r sizes in my original pair based on recommendations from a store near me since I have wider feet, super high arches and wear crazy orthotics. I can honestly say I hiked for a month in April and May of this year for >300km and I never broke them in. They are SO comfortable. I seriously couldn’t wait to buy another paid and I’m going for another 3 weeks in September for more hiking. I’ll be wearing these the whole time!
