Mechanic recommended to use this on empty tank as I had a weird car performance issue that was resolved same day. I liked the reason why this exists and how genuine it is. My SUV was not picking up upon acceleration and I did not know reason, mechanic said engine and everything looks good and actually suggested to use Lucas oil on next gas fill and told me I can find this in the store. I went and figured this out easily and used while fueling. After few minutes drive, the car started behaving properly on acceleration and I was amazed why did I miss this so far. It actually solved poor gas quality and helped unclog filters I believe. I actually went and bought a gallon which I am using afterwards. I want to recommend this because it stands for the promise. My full tank test before using this is 240miles and after addicted to this lucas addition, it is now crossing 280 and I have seen 320 miles for first time. I am totally impressed.

Simple... pour into your gas tank when filling.I was scheduled to have my fuel injectors replaced the next day. I did some research and decided to try this product since I needed to gas up anyway. I did my normal driving and the next morning my car was no longer studdering and chugging. I cancelled my appointment at the garage. The car drives better than ever. It is a 2002 Subaru Outback which sat undriven for a couple of years. I got it 3 years ago with 56,000 miles in it and put another 100,000 on it. I imagine that sitting there built up carbon in the fuel injectors and apparently this solution has cleared it out. The car has never driven so good in my possession,

I was recommended to use Lucas by my mechanic back when the law required regular emissions testing. He said that it would clean up the engine so to use it for a week before the emissions test. My car back then would fail emissions, but after using Lucas, it passed every single time, and without issue. Over a decade later, Lucas makes my car engine purr. No more rough idling, engine shakes, etc. I highly recommend the product!

Recently, the past year or so since we had the soaring gas prices, I have noticed that my two cars (Volvo 760 and Hyundai Sonata) and my Mazda B4000 truck have problems with starting the engine. The ignition takes long, and most often I have to try twice to start the car. With the Mazda it was getting as bad as trying to ignite 4 times to get the engine running! I also noticed that the gas quality was starting to get very poor - I've been always using 92 octane fuel, as the engines run so much better with it. Yet, I've been noticing that the cars lack torque, and when I fill up the 89 gas (at Costco) there's no difference between the two, both result in poor torque. So, as I see no benefit to use the more expensive gas for same crappy performance, I just fill up ... MoreRecently, the past year or so since we had the soaring gas prices, I have noticed that my two cars (Volvo 760 and Hyundai Sonata) and my Mazda B4000 truck have problems with starting the engine. So, as I see no benefit to use the more expensive gas for same crappy performance, I just fill up with the 89 and add this additive. The cas and the truck ALL run MUCH better, and the best thing: NO starting issues whatsoever! All three start up like a charm. (PS - before I figured this out the difficulties with starting have killed the Hyundai's starter, so had to change it, but even after the change the difficulty with ignition did not go away, only after adding the Lucas additive.) I add one bottle to each fill up.
Haven't had the need to use this since we sold our 82 75 series a few years ago, with 1.1m on the clock with almost factory compression. Since we bought a new Isuzu NPR 45-155 SWB, we started using this treatment again and managed to milk another 100ml pr 100 Kms and fuel efficiency. Only requires an approx 50ml squirt down the barrel before filling and Bob's ya uncle. Probably helps I don't drive like I stole it so injectors and pump on the cruiser were schmik with again, almost factory settings. If you've got an ear for a diesel tune and running vibe with a screw driver stethoscope, then try a before and after using about 1/2 a bottle and come up with your own conclusions. For me, I've got my way of doing things and getting good results. Have had an engine misfire %26 some trouble starting, engine code shows my vehicle is "running lean," %26 after getting jerked around by 5 different mechanics I tried this as a last resort. It takes a few weeks it seems to reach its full effect, but I noticed my car runs more smoothly, yet another mechanic said the misfire was actually not even happening anymore.Pretty sure I need a new fuel pump but in the meantime this is helping my car have fewer starting issues %26 definitely feels smoother while driving.
I have used Lucas products for years. I add alittle more than recommended for the first treatment. After that I used it every couple fill ups. My mileage has gone, and easier starts. I use in my vehicle and my boat. With the boat since it is 2008, I dump a whole bottle in the tank at each fill up. (90 gallon tank). I can’t show you the results of the product, but all my engines I use this in, I e never had issues.
Been using Lucas Fuel injector cleaner for many years. Does a great jon, does not hurt the enging. In a recent case had a Cat Code on my high Toyota got an engine light a Cat Code. After the panic for 2k plus repair job, tried Lucas fuel cleaner after ideling for a bit and a test drive the engine cose went away. For starters it could have need bad gas. When that happens good to go for one tank to high volume Gas station with multiple pumps like a QT or Race Track and see if the cat code return. In any case plan to use Cata Clean when the tank hits 1/4 tank. Hope this helps
I have not done a statical analysis of the effect it had on my car. However, I can tell you this, it's easy to pour into your gas tank. You don't have to spend time driving it immediately after putting it in. You don't have to wait till you fill up (according to ChatGPT, no negative side effects on my car when I followed its advice). These are all very convenient factors, also using the AutoZone 2 for $8, it's very cheap. I haven't done a statistical analysis, and can't tell you that all the factors are the same. However, I've been noticing very good fuel economy in my car ever since adding it. Which is surprising, as we are entering winter with colder temperatures. And usually my Hybrid CRV takes a hit, but it seems to be doing better than it did in the summer by a ... MoreI have not done a statical analysis of the effect it had on my car. And usually my Hybrid CRV takes a hit, but it seems to be doing better than it did in the summer by a few mpgs. Also yes it does work in Hybrid engines, at least mine. Please do own research about plug in hybrid/other hybrids.
So I poured this stuff into my engine, hoping for some superhero-level performance boost. Did it turn my car into the automotive equivalent of Thor? Not quite. But, hey, it didn’t explode, catch fire, or run away with my dog, so that’s a win. My engine’s purring along like usual, but I’m still waiting for that fourth-wall-breaking horsepower. It’s like having a sidekick who might be awesome… or just there for the chimichangas. Either way, it’s doing something, and that’s good enough for me.
