These are next level kind of cherries! Texture-10, flavor-10, price-8.Don’t let the size of the container fool you, there are a lot of amazing cherries in the jar.Hint: one can use the syrup in place of or addition to simple syrup in your cocktail recipe. I will drizzle over the garnish or muddled ingredients when the mood strikes.
Luxardo Maraschino Cherries 400g are delicious and mouth watering. The cherries have a pleasant taste and once you taste one of them you want to eat more and more. They are very moreish The Cherries are appetising, moist, ripe, flavoursome, juicy, soft, palatable, lush, fleshy, fresh, tender and definitely my choice to add to desserts, cakes, cocktails, drinks and ice cream. You can eat them straight from the jar. The Cherries are a premium product and I am passionate about their taste.
First off, Luxardo cherries are absolutely the BEST maraschino cherry for drinks. There really is no substitute. The can is a very good value compared with buying the ~10oz jars. This can is equivalent to about 8 jars, so it's about half the price compared with purchasing the jars. They list this as 105.8 oz but that's weight, not fluid ounces. The can is about 80 fluid ounces. Still a great value if you plan to use a lot of these cherries. They also keep for a long time. If you use the cherries for drinks, save the syrup. The syrup is awesome in other drinks like margaritas, drizzled on ice cream, etc.
The king of cocktail cherries and no refrigeration required. Unmistakable flavor. Expensive, but a jar lasts a long time. Don’t bother with posers. They don’t even come close. Just wish they sold the juice on its own for my manhattans.
People who say these are too expensive need to be drinking their kids cocktails that have neon red cherries. Yes they are higher in price, but you taste the difference. American maraschino cherries are nasty. Not sure how the luxardo compare to some of the other higher end brands taste wise, but I know I won't waste my time with cherries that are $3.99 for 100 cherries in a jar. Get the luxardo if you enjoy something that tastes amazing.
After reading reviews about broken jars and having had poor experiences with other 3rd party sellers that Walmart uses, I was a little anxious to place this order but it really is a great price for these delicious cherries so I took a chance. The shipment was on time and arrived in perfect condition. The product itself is fresh and expiration date more than a year away. Couldn’t really ask for a better experience, I will absolutely purchase these Luxardor cherries from this seller again. If you drink cocktails that have a cherry, as I do in my old fashioned, there really is such a huge difference in these authentic cherries VS the red dyed overly sugary maraschinos. I absolutely think they are worth the splurge.
I had the opportunity to enjoy these cherries at a craft distillery about a year ago. I could not recall the name and tried several, but they were not the same. I received a recommendation from Total Wine on 'cherries' and Luxardo came up. After reviewing the comments, I thought, well, maybe these were the 'ones.' ..... They are! And for Thanksgiving we put them in a fresh cut fruit bowl ..... awesome addition. And yes, they also work in a brandy Manhattan ..... :-)
