My sister found some just outside Boston and gave me a can for Christmas. I really missed it, so I found you on the web and now I'm a very happy guy. My alternative supermarket no longer stocks this size of Lyles Golden Syrup. Since I frequently make Yorkshire Parkin the smaller size is uneconomical. It was even better value with the new 50p of voucher.Also buy my medium oatmeal for the Parkin at Waitrose.
Lyle's Golden Syrup has a hard-to-match flavor when compared to common products from the USA. For instance, in my opinion, Maple Syrup is my favorite flavor sweetener. Honey a close second. Lyle's has a Honey-like consistency, with sweetness (not flavor) close to Maple Syrup. It occupies a specific niche for flavor, sweetness and consistency. Should you keep it? Yes, you should. Excellent product, service, shipping, packing, etc. It arrived from Pennsylvania (?) to Texas (Via GB) with no damage, leakage or anything else untoward. Good job...

Lyles is simply THE golden syrup.It's stand alone flavour for years has never changed .Delicious on crumpets ,toast ,porridge ,ice cream , unsurpassed when making flapjacks ,toffee apples ,caramel sauce , upside down cake , sponge puds etc.As Tina once said , It's simply the best !!!!!

Being brought up with the old fashioned weight system I sometimes mistake what the weights are on some items. Hence thinking I was buying the original 907gm tin (I checked the gms weight) I ended up buying two small tins. I find it quite annoying. I know some people say we should just convert but sometimes we are just conned.
Been around for yonks and its not surprising. So versatile, cakes, puddings, drizzled over yogurt. Lovely. Lovely. Lovely
