Listen — I’ve been wearing this foundation before it was reformulated. While I do miss that the original came in a significantly bigger size and was fragrance free, the quality is still the same. I also noticed that my shade is different from the original. Nonetheless, it provides the most effortless , skin-like finish. The best way I’ve found to apply it is with your fingers!!! A girl at the MAC store told me this and it was a GAME changer. I feel like when I’ve applied with a sponge or brush it looks horrible. But when you use your fingers it melts into your skin for a glowy, radiant finish. I keep 2 on hand at all times!

I have been using this foundation for almost 8 years now! I have tried just about every foundation under the Sun it seems while working at Sephora I tried EVERYTHING! I needed to do some research to get this to work for me. After watching some YouTube videos I learnt the best way to apply is with your fingers. Work it into your skin until the consistency changes from a slip to grip. You can then use a brush or fingers to build up layers on top. I don’t like using my fingers to apply so this doesn’t work for me as well as for others. I also like a fuller coverage but this is also good to mix with other foundations to sheer down. A good colour match to NW15 I think is C1 or N1. I prefer Dior face and body over this.

MAC Face and Body is one of my favorite products by MAC,only surpassed by my holy grail forever-Strobe Cream-which makes a great base for FB. The new formula is a bit more luminous but is absolutely just as great as the original. The product is thin and watery in texture,comparable to Glossier Skin Tint,Chanel Vitalumiére Aqua,Dior Backstage Face and Body or Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder. While MAC bills it as a foundation, I find it more like a skin tint. It blends beautifully and is very buildable. The coverage is sheer and very skin like. It's also transfer-proof. I find it does a great job of evening out my skins slight redness and leaves a very even,glowy,natural base. It's a luminous formula but it never looks greasy or oily. The shade range is extensive as are the undertones. If I could fix one thing, I would add SPF to the formula,but this is not a deal-breaker personally as I wear a separate SPF daily anyway.This product wears nicely all day-there's almost no fading or creasing. This is just an all-around great product. I can see it working on all types of skin. I have seen this recommended by many makeup artists as well. MAC Face and Body foundation is 39$ and can be found on the MAC website,their makeup counters,Ulta,and almost any department store such as Nordstrom or Saks. Again, I highly recommend this for a range of skin types. It's absolutely an iconic product for good reason.

I have problematic skin that is prone to breakouts, so I have a lot of imperfections I want to hide. I still love this foundation because I prefer a light, natural foundation that perfects the skin and evens the tone. Best foundation by far!!!!

I actually use C1 however it won't allow me to review when selecting this shade! I have been using this foundation on and off for about 14 years and always return to this foundation due to its staying powder natural buildable coverage from sheer to medium! I have combination skin with extremely oily tzone and dry under my eyes and mid portion of face but this foundation stays put on the oily parts of my face and doesn't cling the the dry areas it gives a natural done up look and never lets me down! I pair it with macs prep and prime powder to ensure it remains as transfer resistant as possible and this combination really works for me! It doesn't settle in fine lines and can be dressed up for a night out or perfect for daily wear. I also feel it is slightly more moisturising compared to other foundations and have a good selection of shades even for very pale neutral tones like myself which are extremely hard to find as most pale shades are aimed at cool pink toned skins instead! I hope Mac continue to keep making this original version as personally I really don't like the new illuminated version ( some of us those with oilier skin don't need any help with illuminating foundations!) and as an existing original face and body foundation wearer i can't recommend this foundation more it's the perfect foundation that never lets me down!

Holy Grail - please do not discontinue!

I have been using this foundation since I was 15 and I was devastated to find out that MAC is looking to replace the original formula with the new Studio Radiance. This is one of those holy grail products I thought would be around forever, especially considering how many MUAs carry this in their kit.Although the company claims that the new Face & Body is not a new/reformulated product, but a repackaged product with a new name, it is obvious this is false. The new foundation is much more dewy (hence Radiance in the new name) and the shades are not even the same. This is especially upsetting as I have an olive skin tone and finding a match closer than the C-colour range from MAC's original Face & Body has proven almost impossible. Perfect for my skin type.

Love this foundation and lasts forever! For someone that has literally tried every foundation that exists this is my holy grail! For my almost 40 year old skin this foundation doesn't set in fine lines and has lovely dewy finish. Sheer but buildable ( lets my freckles shine through). I have sensitive skin and doesn't break me out. I had my sister visit who hadn't seen me for years and she commented on how good my makeup looks! Funny thing is I am spending the least I have ever done and my skin looks better than it ever has. This foundation has a natural finish without that caked on feel. If you love a natural finish this foundation fits that look.

Sheer but buildable coverage...

I don't use this for my face (I tried once and it broke me out) but I do use on my upper arms and thighs, where I have a few minor blemishes and it works brilliantly. It's a water-based foundation and as a result, has a very thin consistency compared to most other foundations I own. Being so light, it doesn't give a huge amount of coverage, sheer at best, but it's buildable, and I find I get the best results when applying with my fingers, as opposed to a brush or sponge. Expect a light evening out effect but not for it to disguise anything too prominent such as recent scars or dark, prominent pigmentation. Finding the right shade can be tricky as the shade range is quite small.
