I absolutely love it! The M-Audio Complete Recording Bundle (which includes a USB Audio Interface, Microphone, Shock Mount, Cables, Headphones and Software Suite - AIR 192/4 Vocal Studio Pro) is AMAZING! I recently started doing more podcasts and needed a better setup than the one I had used previously, which really is intended more for recording from your phone and also probably why my microphone wouldn't work for certain podcasts. The M-Audio eliminates background noise, enhances the sound of your voice, and completely eliminates the need to use the crappy microphone recording if you have to use your monitor. The difference in playback is huge. I think whether you're a beginner or a pro, this bundle system makes it a no-brainer. I've even ordered a desk crane ... MoreI absolutely love it! I'm going to concentrate on the hardware here because on the box it says it ships with ProTools software but after registering and signing up for an account, it says ProTools is no longer available, which may be a good thing. Instead, you get Ableton lite which I'm not familiar with. You also get MPC Beats DAW software, some sound effects, instruments such as grand piano etc. and loops. On to the hardware. You get the interface, condenser mic, windscreen and shock guard for the mic, and headphones. All the cables you need are included except for your instrument of course. This runs on USB power from your computer. I think it would have been better for it to be self-powered, but we are talking in the $200 range here. The drivers and software are on the website you registered on. The drivers installed fine, and I found hooking it up rather easy. For testing audio, I decided to use Audacity. The headphones are good quality, but these are not noise cancelling headphones. The headphone cord seems to be a bit cheap. However, for the price they aren't too bad. Talking into the condenser mic sounded fine. Just realize this isn't a top line microphone. I used a SM-58 to test differences and the SM-58 sounded way better but the condenser mic is better for sound isolation. Not sure what the noise floor is on the interface, but I did hear some noise if I turned it up too much. Playing with the levels and you can find a range where it isn't too bad.All in all, this is a great entry level DAW system. The interface is solidly built, and I like the feeling of the knobs. Would be great for putting ideas down, demos or recording audiobooks. The software alone is worth the money. The interface is fine. If you want a more professional sound, I suggest buying the interface and investing in a higher quality mic and headphones. But if you're just getting your feet wet, this is a recommended purchase.

The sound quality is great for the value and perfect for my needs.I would suggest however if you’re going to use this with the iPad, it would be ideal to use it with the Magic Keyboard for the extra port in order to maintain a full charge and deliver enough power while using. This kit is great for anyone who wants mobility for DJing, recording music or podcasts and is affordable and high quality. All you really need is a desktop or traditional mic mount if you’re using the included shock mount and mic.

Only device drivers. When I have purchased M audio products previously, I was always offered a complementary version of ProTools.Upon checking on this the feedback that I get from avid is now “it is not cost effective for us to offer you the complementary copy of ProTools for M audio”.This is an extreme disappointment to me as I have always used ProTools with M audio products.I have been able to use some of my other audio software like Ableton live and Adobe Soundbooth. But those products do not work as well for what I intended to do with this product. When I opened up the package and checked the documentation, The only software offered were the drivers for the device. But those products do not work as well for what I intended to do with this product. When I opened up the package and checked the documentation, The only software offered were the drivers for the device. Fortunately I can get it to work with windows 732 and 64 bit versions, but there is no longer any support for windows XP which was always part of the support until recently… despite that operating system no longer being supported. When Digidesign owned Pro Tools, they always offered drivers for legacy operating systems, they even offered versions of ProTools that would run under those operating systems. But now even all of the links that Avid used to provide for the legacy links, are all gone. The hardware is good hardware and it provides a good Analog to digital converter, but without the standard ProTools, creators like me have had their wings clipped.I was able to locate ProTools 8 for M-Audio, but I was not given an iLok authorization to activate that software and that’s another thing that is missing from this product. I had always been given a USB dongle where I could insert the ILOK authorization. This part of the product is disappointingly totally missing from the package.I am wondering if maybe I was missing some things when I opened up the package. But all I was really given was an instruction manual, a link to download the drivers, to USB C cables, but no other software disks or links.Very odd.Hopefully I will be able to find a use for this hardware I was given a very nice microphone and a pair of headphones. The sound quality coming out of the device is rather good. But without the standard creation software, there is not really anything we can do with this unless we purchase the software on our own and that was never something that we had to do with M audio, The creation software was always given to us.
I selected the AIR 192 -4 Vocal Studio Pro because I am interested in starting a podcast. I received the package which contains the majority of tools I will need for this purpose: microphone, microphone mount, headphones, AIR 192 Audio Interface and all the cables needed for their connection. Please note that a microphone stand is a desperately needed additional purchase. Setup was fairly simple and easy to follow. However, the software downloads were very time consuming. There were about 8 large software packages to download, which took me well over two hours. Exploring through the software was intense but well worth the experience!!There’s a steep learning curve to operating all the downloaded software. The choices are awesomely abundant. Exploring through the software was intense but well worth the experience!!There’s a steep learning curve to operating all the downloaded software. The choices are awesomely abundant. I saw no ends to thrive in creativity, especially for those interested in “music production and professional sounding samples.” I viewed tons of online “how to” videos and was overwhelmed by the possibilities. I finally settled my excitement and decided to focus on the features geared toward podcasting. Vocal editing for podcasting options are amazing! I love it!Overall, I think the AIR 192 -4 Vocal Studio Pro is a fantastic package. I am a beginner and it contains more than what I need for podcasting. I believe it will also be an excellent buy for those interested in music productions.

I feel like my voice is richer and less tin-ney or metallic and no background clutter.I really would recommend this for recording voice over bits and bumpers and the quality is good enough for radio or TV or musicians, this would be great in a dorm or apartment situation and you could work without disturbing the neighborhood!A nice size, I could even see taking this to a show to record live and feed direct to the mixing board.I think there are ways to utilize this that a bigger bulky studio would not be able to work with!I am not sure about the software included since I use other pro software I am familiar with already. It works great!I really enjoyed getting the box, opening it and it being so easy to use - I wish I had access to this years ago, I might have stayed in voice work!I think this would be a great gift or addition to any studio!I have really enjoyed using this and can not wait to do more!

However, the software seemed to recognize the Air 192/4 automatically. After the initial set-up of MPC Beats I’ve been slowly looking over the baffling, spaceship-like array of controls. There are several YouTube videos with tutorials, which are gradually helping. Many videos demonstrate creating drum tracks, bass lines and keyboards with a drum-like touch-pad device (MIDI pad controller). I don’t think that’s required, but it looks cool.Still trying to understand how to use the DAW, I haven’t reached the point of plugging the mic and my guitar into the Air 192/4; have not actually used the interface, have not recorded anything. For me, deciphering the DAW software is a hurdle. Once that jump is made I’m confident the Air 192/4 will do its job.
This is a great system that's compact enough to fit on the edge of the bookshelf in front of my computer screen (see pictures). I've been an analog guy until now. This will be a good upgrade to the few YT guitar / vocal videos I occasionally make. The mic is good, the headphones are pretty close to rivaling my high-end gaming phones and the components are all quality and solid. The mixer case is metal. I've got the mic mounted to a XLR to XLR wired gooseneck (that does not come with the package) but I put the dampening cage on the mic for the picture. To give you a perspective on how much software "comes with" (much of it via download and the provided authorization codes), it took me five hours to download and install it all this morning. This would be good for a blogger. I just sent for a 25-key midi controller / keyboard. It'll take me months to learn even most of what this is capable of with all of that software. What I've recorded so far sounds good. It's just what I needed.
My two sons LOVE the M-Audio - Complete Recording Bundle! It came very nicely packaged, and comes with everything! It comes with the microphone, xlr cable, USB cable for the interface, mic foam cover, mic stabilizer and a leather mic case. It comes with instructions, but they found it intuitive and extremely easy to use. There are also lots of instructional videos available online too, if needed. You can use this with lots of music software or DAWs ( digital audio workstations). My son is using FL Studio, and my other son will be using Tracktion. The mic feels sturdy, it's dynamic and sounds great- heavy and well made. The mic stabilizer is made well and holds the mic snug. The xlr and instrument input is very good quality! Knobs feel great, they don't feel flimsy ... MoreMy two sons LOVE the M-Audio - Complete Recording Bundle! It came very nicely packaged, and comes with everything! Knobs feel great, they don't feel flimsy or loose- they feel well crafted. The live feed LED mic sound levels are easy to read, nice and bright, accurate and in real time. There are also several different ports for whatever cables you have. This would make an excellent upgrade to a home studio- and would make a great gift for someone who wants to record music at home. We love it- absolutely love it.
This is a m-audio air 192/4 complete vocal studio production package. When I got this I knew absolutely nothing about it. I just thought my husband would really enjoy it because he likes to play the drums and he has a friend who comes over and plays guitar. I thought they may enjoy being able to also sing with a professional type quality. I thought you just plugged it in. If you are like me and do not know much about this type of thing, I strongly encourage you to do as much research as you can before you purchase something like this. That's why I hope to include as much info as I can here. I'll start with your box contents. This setup includes the air 192/4, nova black microphone, XLR microphone cable, microphone shock mount, microphone windscreen, microphone pouch ... MoreThis is a m-audio air 192/4 complete vocal studio production package. Here is where my lack of knowledge came in. I did not realize I needed to connect this to a computer. Some of you probably think im pretty stupid. Maybe that is common sense for someone who is more knowledgeable about this type of thing but I know there's probably a few people, like myself, that may not realize this and just think they're getting something cool for someone they care about. I'm not a very tech savvy person and the only computer I have was not able to do what I needed it to as it is old and has no storage left on it. As I've mentioned I'm not useful in any area of technology. So here's what you'll need to be able to do with your computer. You'll need to register your product and create an account that would allow you to download the latest software and any drivers that you may need for your product. Here you will also be able to find the system requirements and any other helpful information. You can also find support here to help you. Before you can connect your computer you must install the drivers. The user manual will guide you on how to download the latest operating system. The user guide also has a diagram showing how to connect your product. Other than a computer, you will also need powered monitors that are not included in the product package. We have an amp. We connected it to our amp and could not get any sound from the microphone. I don't know if it was an error on our part, or if it just wasn't compatible. My advice here would be to research, contact the help center listed in the manual, or ask someone knowledgeable in this type of area for help. The user's guide also gives the details on the features of this product, as well as information on care instructions for the microphone. This product also comes with a one-year warranty that will cover the product as long as the product has been used properly.I believe this to be a quality product. I have been continuing my research the best I can. There are many informational videos on this product as well as video reviews. I am sorry I cannot give you better information on this item. I just assumed that it was as easy as just plugging it in. That's my fault though not the product or its manufacturers fault. I definitely learned my lesson. I would still recommend this product to others. Just ask some questions and make sure you have everything you need to get started.
