If I could give this a million stars I would. I have used the Urban Decay eyelid primer for about 20ish years and it was a staple for me and I loved it. I bought this because it was on special offer and I’m so pleased I did. It is a new favourite and I will continue to use. A little goes a long way. It feels so nice on my eyelids. It melts into the skin and my eyeliner glides on and looks perfect all day.

No one does makeup better than Mac IMO, and I was wasting money and time on every new start up makeup company out there. So while I was firmly recommitted to Mac for color cosmetics, I didn't realize what else I was missing until I tried this primer. First let me say I've used at least 6 other pricey primers in the last 2 years, and nothing works as well as this. Works GREAT on my crepey eyelids, and keeps my shadows looking fresh all day. Truly helps make my eyelids look smooth and younger.

if you're on the fence about buying this product because it's too pricy, i suggest you do it anyways. I'm not big on eyeshadow primers in general as i live in texas and any extra layer of makeup feels like a grease factory at the end of the day, but this... is perfection. my eyeshadow normally never lasts; creasing, fading, smudging, the works. but when i used this, i swear it's bulletproof. i sweat all of my makeup off except for my eye makeup (arguably my most time consuming step so of course i was in love) i will say i hate the way it felt when i put it on. id describe it as spraying hairspray on your eyelids and letting it dry but i got past it quickly and had a wonderful makeup day. BUY IT.
Been using Urban Decay's Eye Primer Potion for a number of years but it went goopy when I moved from a cold climate to Singapore humidity so I purchased this MAC primer from my local Sephora after reading a few reviews.I have oily monolids and I use primer to keep my eyeliner and eyeshadow in place in Singapore's humid, sweaty weather. This works great. Goes on smoothly, my eye makeup doesn't budge all day and although I tend to stick to neutral colours, it doesn't seem to impact colour intensity (nor leave any visible residue behind like the Primer Potion).Wish it were cheaper, but so far so good. May try another eye primer after finishing this one which has a better price point.

This is the best eyeshadow primer I have ever used. My eyelids are naturally very oily so no matter what I do, my eyeshadow always creases. This is the only primer that keeps my eyeshadow on all day and stops it from creasing. The best part is that I only need a tiny bit of product so the tube lasts for a really long time! Also love that the primer is without colour so that I can put whatever I want on top. I received this product as a gift, but will definitely repurchase!
I recently bought a viseart primer. Since mac was all I'd ever used i was unaware how different other primers would be. The texture of the viseart one left my eyeshadow crepy, textured, and aged looking. The Mac one by contrast doesn't crease for a whole day and night or have any strange texture under the eyeshadow. It goes on smooth and in all these years have never finished a tube before the expiration date. A lil goes a long long way. The color is great; goes on clear. Just amazing. My viseart one ceases in just a few hours. MAC does the whole 24 hours. Perfect eyeshadow. I wonder if they make lash glue?
The primer for eyeshadow is a must-have to get in your kit. I can't do without. It is really helping to keep an eye makeup for a long time without creasing or fading. So as I’m aging (41). My eyelids sometimes aren’t my friends. On first application this is quite tacky but it does dry down really well. Tried for the first time this week. Had my eye make up on for 11+ hours. Got home from the office and my shadow was still it place. Tip: it does dry down fairly quick once on the lid so additional blending of the shadow might be required. Worth the extra work tho.
