I almost didn't buy this product because of not-so-stellar reviews on here, but I am so glad I didn't pay attention to them! This product is perfect for me! It covers like a dream, it doesn't oxidize, it doesn't sit in fine lines, and it lasts all day! I set it with Studio Fix powder and my complexion looks flawless. I have very oily skin, cystic acne scars, and sun damage. Yay for me that I found this product! I apply it with the sponge, but I start by tapping it into my skin, then lightly blend, then set with the Studio Fix Powder. Love love love, and I was complimented on how good it looked!

I had no idea it was discontinued until I ordered the studio fix tech and realized something wasn't quite right with the foundation. I read the other reviews and saw that I wasn't alone. I was compelled to repurchase this since it recently went through an update and packaging update and it's just as amazing as I remember it. The thing I love about it is it's incredibly buildable for a cream foundation. It doesn't go on like a thick mask and you can wear it lightly or really build it up. Even when it's really applied heavily it MELTSSSSSSSSS into the skin and it looks crazy skin-like. It truly has the ability to cover a large amount while looking like real skin. I feel like Mac could honestly market this as an HD foundation because it photographs well and looks amazing on camera. I've worn this foundation for more years than I can count. NW25 was always perfect until Mac's latest "update" to the foundation. NW25 is now darker and orange in tone. I had to change to NW20--2 shades lighter--to get the equivalent color as the old version of NW25. Plus, the new version of this foundation doesn't go on as smoothly & requires more foundation for adequate coverage and it is not as crease resistant, even using a Mac brush to apply it (as I always have). And, the price has gone up a lot in just the last couple of months! What a sad decline in what was once a great product.

Overall I can truly say I have found my most favorite foundation ever. I'm confused as to why the reviews here are so bad, the foundation is absolutely flawless. I just want to say, you just need to learn how each formula works and how to apply it based on your preference, skin type and skin care. Mac truly makes the most perfect formulas and skin tones in foundations, and I believe they are superior to other brands. Thank you Mac for all you do. I am a forever customer.

I love this foundation. It is the absolute middle ground between the matte full coverage of SF Fluid and the dewy sheer coverage of F&B. I have normal to dry skin and I only use SFF with Strobe cream or the Mac P+P oil; sometimes F&B isn't quite enough coverage. Studio Tech is bang in the middle - you can build coverage (I use a firm stippling brush buff in before perfecting with a beauty sponge).it's hydrating and natural looking - not quite matte but not dewy either. Ensure you shade match - the colours aren't quite the same as SFF. I'll be popping to MAC for my winter shade. Great new formula that I think gets overlooked!
