1st swim the cord came out of the earplugs - But I LOVE THEM!

I thought when I purchased Mack's earplugs that I was going to really want to have the cord that wrapped around my head so I wouldn't lose them. During the first swim, I was upset that the cord came out of one of the plugs. Easily I pulled it out of the other ear plug because what good would the cord coming out of one earplug be? I finished the swim surprised how delighted I was with the earplugs even though they didn't have a cord! Now I'm buying another pair, and I plan to pull the cord out immediately because that's how I want them. They keep the water out and I've never lost one. I'm just getting another pair for my backup swim kit.

A bit disappointing

i hate to give a bit of a thumbs down as I have always found Earjobs very good. Product delivered quickly and efficiently as per normal. Unfortunately the product was a bit disappointing The actual plug was good but the safety strings to remove them from one's ear quickly snapped and broke. Perhaps I was just unlucky? The ear plugs are quite small so really need a strong string so don't get stuck in the ear. I have been trying to order those silicon 'Leave Me Alone " type plugs which are perfect for me but unfortunately are still out of stock. Sorry guys! Jeff

The condition is primarily caused by prolonged exposure to cold water or wind."Use these and avoid surgery. the lanyard makes them easy to keep on you and any hearing reduction, while minor, can be removed quickly from either audio input on your head.

Decent

I got these because my existing plugs have been used a couple years and occasionally water gets past them (while doing a flip-turn). I was placing an order for something else so I thought I'd replace my ear plugs. These are OK. Nothing amazing and I doubt they are any tighter in my ears. Perhaps my ear canal is slightly larger diameter than others. Other than that, they seem fine

Does the job

Much better than those goofy silicon plugs. The string broke off so I bought a couple extra pairs in case I lose them. So far, no issues. The really fit into my ear canal to keep the swimmers ear at bay. Worth every penny!

Get what you pay for

First time use in some flat water rolling practice I noticed immediately that these did not fully seal the water out of my ears. I'd read and followed the instructions (screw them into your ears), and they blocked sound effectively, but did not keep the water out in a dynamic environment. Head movement was clearly causing these to loosen. After a few rolls they came completely out of my ears, and I only noticed because they were floating next to me in the water. I put them back in for one more try, and they not only came out again, but one of the ear plugs came off the string and got lost.

Good solid Noise reduction
2 February 2022

These plugs have a harder stem than others and so are much easier to insert and remove. They quickly became my favourite plugs for swimming and motor biking, fitting well in a helmet.Good solid noise reduction but the string is easily broken and the plugs easily lost.If it had a stronger string attachment or cheaper I’d have given it 5 stars. That aside, the noise protection is great and these double up as great swim plugs as well.

Mack's Ear Seals - Ear Plugs

These are excellent. First bought them in the USA and was sad that I couldn't get them here. Now I can. They fit perfectly and they are super soft and comfortable. I have tried many types of earplugs for swimming and these are the best by a long way. Great job.

The best I have found
7 October 2014

I swim three times a day in my pool and have never used earplugs. Last year I paid the price for this foolhardiness; a debilitating ear infection. During my enforced layoff from aquatic fun I searched the web for a solution. I purchased three different types of earplugs; soft gel, full ear and Mack's ear seal. The soft gel worked well but what a performance! Who can be bothered to roll out ear plugs and fit them to the ear each time they feel like a swim? The full ear only worked for a couple of laps and then needed re-adjustment or they leaked. The Macks? Easy to fit, no water in my ears and they last. The instructions suggest that they are only good for two or three applications. Highly recommended for swimming nuts like me!

This product has helped tremedously!
11 August 2018

I never had the problem of water in one of my ears after swimming my laps, until very recently. I had been using "swimmer's ear drops" to counteract the water, but it took several days to take effect and solve the problem. These ear plugs have eliminated the problem entirely and I am so happy that I tried them. Now I can swim without having to dread the aftereffect of water in one of my ears. If you are having the same problem, I can strongly recommend that you try this product.
