Comfy but Fragile.

Very comfortable, still smell good after sweating a bit. I've had more than ten pairs. Some develop random holes immediately, others near the elastic, from putting them on, and the last place is the ahem crutch area from a couple dozen wearings. They generally last a few washes before acquiring first holes. If they lasted longer i'd give them 5 stars. I'll still buy more ( on sale).

Great fit but don't last. Stay away.

These are very comfortable and dry quickly. But... They don't last. Every pair I have had had ripped around the 9 to 14 month mark. Therefore these are not a very sustainable option and I wouldn't recommend.

Great quality and fit.

My partner loves these boxers. Great fit, comfortable, doesn't irritate his skin, and one of the few boxers without branding blazoned across the band. The green are a particularly lovely colour. Bought the black, green and blue. All lovely rich colours. Have washed a few times and still look new.

Not as good as they use to be
12 May 2024

I bought these to use on my second Camiño (280km) as the first time I did one (800km) I used Mapac underware and they are great. These did not stand up to the distance so I went back to my old ones. The look and feel great but are not durable

Poor substitute for Icebreaker at a similar price point
6 February 2022

I bought 4+ of these as a (slightly) cheaper option to the very similar boxers by Icebreaker. However, garment construction and materials are sub-quality. The elastic band pulls away from the trunk and it's easy to put your finger or hand through the fabric. I've got Icebreaker ones that'd be 5+ years old and going strong. $50 undies should be better than this without having to take them back to the shop.[I've seen other similar reviews since and the invitation to return to MP, but the point of these reviews is to share that experience, even if MP offers 'a solution'].

Recommend for Active wear
22 November 2023

I have been buying these for about 10 years and found them excellent for sweat absorption and active wear. However my last purchase produced a hole near the band within a few months. All other pairs have lasted well and I have used them for about 3 years.

So far So good
18 November 2018

I bought these to trial for my trip to Nepal in Feb 2019. As I live in Australia, my training will be during the summer days.Yesterday was my first 10km walk in the boxers. Given I was walking in direct sun light and it was a very humid day. These boxers performed amazingly. they held the sweat well and no chaffing at all. the shorts I hard over the top chaffing my thigh just below the end of the boxer. go figure.I have suffered in cotton briefs for a number of years, never realising an alternative. My work sometimes involves to to walk in very hot days, and the cotton has always failed. I will be wearing these on Australia day while I am working. Thanks Macpac.

Superbly comfortable
16 April 2023

I have found my Macpac Men's Boxers extremely comfortable to wear. They are a perfect fit and the Merino wool is very pleasant against my skin. As a former wool producer in my younger days I always try to support my former industry. My wife and I continue to hike long distance walks and these boxers remain comfortable throughout the day.

Wonderful Purchase
23 February 2022

I absolutely love these things. I alternate between these and pairs of Icebreakers every day. I prefer the icebreakers, but these are phenomenal as well and it may just be a matter of personal taste. These are incredibly breathable and you really do feel a significant difference VERY quickly when transitioning from synthetic material to merino boxers!! Go for it - you’ll be glad you did :)

Wool chafing protection
24 September 2022

I'm a woman and bought these, as there are no long leg wool boxers available for women. Great as a chafe-protective knicker underneath a hiking skirt/dress and anti-microbial to boot.Wicking isn't bad, but could be better. Obviously not made for women lol, but still suits my purpose. Very tough and have stood up to rough washing and tumble dryer.
