This bag too me is almost the perfect backpack. It's a quality product that's the right size. It often amazes me how much it holds.I've had mine for I don't know how long, 4-5yrs, and it's still in great shape, especially given I use it most days.It doesn't have any unused and annoying straps, weird pockets, or anything else that companies seem to add to bags for whatever reason. It's simple, without being too simple, that is it has a couple of compartments to hold a phone, keys, or other small bits and pieces that may get lost in a bag. However the only downside, for me anyway, is it doesn't have something to hold a water bottle. Since I use this bag almost every day, it's annoying to carry a water bottle and have it pressed on my back, especially when that's ... MoreThis bag too me is almost the perfect backpack. This is why there are only 4-stars.Otherwise, I love this bag, and it's almost perfect.

I have had my Kahana for over 3 years now. It's been on multiple day hikes, 2 years of university, many many plane trips and it's still in excellent condition. The size sits well and is comfortable to wear even when it's fully loaded. I'm about to buy my son one for school and I have gotten several of my friends to purchase one too as I rave about it. Best small daypack on the market in my opinion!

I bought it as a present for my son, who wanted a lightweight, easy backpack to throw on while going for a bike ride to catch up with friends. Two side pockets for drink bottles are super handy. My son is 16 and fussy but he really likes his backpack.
Excellent product. Really roomy, but not too roomy. Ideal for a day trip, but also could be used for work with room for a laptop.Really comfortable to wear and enough pockets for all those all important things.I would definitely recommend this product.
Great little backpack, that holds so much due to the clever design. Placement of zips allow opening without possibility of losing contents. Thought it should have an external water bottle pocket but it still good without. Also not sure about the 'red' zip for internal secret valuables pocket. Overall a great bag. Beautifully made, better than expected! Was recommended to me and I would also.
Great day pack but an anchor to secure the front zip and prevent it from sliding down would be good as would some mesh side pockets . Nowhere to clip things on to pack. However, very comfortable and love the colour.
Solid pack! Lightweight yet hard wearing, has been coming with me on all day hikes. The only thing it’s missing is a side slip pocket (for easy phone/wallet access) and maybe a waist buckle (instead of one at chia tv level). Other than that, it’s osm!!
This is my 3rd daypack from Macpac (also have the Kahu). The design is simple without those stupid attached external pockets and trinkets, the opening wide to easily access the interior, great devider where I put a water bladder. Fabric is sturdy and the contoured shoulder straps long enough even for a larger chest.I use mine mostly for motorcycle riding
Had a hole in it within a week. poor quality, bad for environment as will have to be thrown out quickly. i normally buy the canvas ones but macpac stopped making. Macpac isn't the quality it used to be
