This is a down jacket of very good quality bought at a great price. The fit is perfect and the jacket has a quality 'feel' compared with equivalently-priced products. It is well made with good stitching and the colour is just what I hoped it would be. The only improvement I can think of would be to include a small nylon bag for storage - I find the method of folding and rolling the jacket into the inside zipped pocket too challenging.

I purchased the Macpac Men's Uber Light Down Jacket for my husband. The cloth smelled like clothes that have been dried in the shade without being exposed to the sun, I believe that smell has come from the fur or material inside of the jacket. It is so bad for the first impression. I tried to clean it and other things but still bad smell. I emailed them for a return or refund, but I get denied.

In choosing this jacket I sat in the dressing room for five minutes with the zipper done up and the hood down. I wanted something that was really warm but wouldn't inhibit my movement/posture or weigh me down.1. It is very cosy and warm.2. The jacket also succeeds on the movement/posture front in a few ways:- Hood doesnt dig into my neck when it's down, if I'm in a chair with a high back or headrest (I don't wear hoodies because of this issue).- Physically light. With other big jackets I often feel my shoulders opening back up when the weight is released after taking it off.- Broad enough for my shoulders - I am a woman and was warned choosing a men's jacket would make me look boxy. I don't care, personally, because I won't look or feel good if a jacket is ... MoreIn choosing this jacket I sat in the dressing room for five minutes with the zipper done up and the hood down. It feels cheap, compared to what you see on a lot of other brands selling coats this thick. It has one zip-pull, not two, and it could really do to be thicker. It doesnt feel like it has enough control over the jacket. I am considering finding out what it would cost to have it replaced with something better, because I can imagine the wrong pull causing the material to split and down to pour out. I would not have bought this without the half-price sale, purely because of the zip.

Great fit and well suited to the wear on warmer days.Got this to use in days where my Halo is "too warm" to wear. The sizing matches up to the Halo. So if you have an L get a Large in the Uber Light. I would agree from a sizing review from a MacPac member on this site, that you would be easily able to just have the same size in the Halo and Uber Light and have no issues. The Uber Light comes with a small sack in the pocket so you can store it for travel. This will definitely be a good summer/autumn jacket or when travelling to Brisbane in a "Brisbane winter".Colour selection is good too.Inside there are two internal pouches (open/unzipped) and external there are two zippered pockets.
Seems good so far… It's the first down jacket I've owned as I have always disliked the shiny, tacky look, and that so many townies wear them for town stuff. I usually wear wool bush shirts, and polartec type fleece but I thought I'd give one a try. Really nice warmth to weight, and the packed volume and weight are awesome! The slick, cold feel of the inner and outer still feel alien, and it feels like it's going to tear on everything I brush against due to the thin (20 denier maybe?) outer! But at the sale price I paid for it I am not going to be babying it, so time will tell ??
I like the jacket very much. My partner bought one in store. That jacket is much more “fluffed up” than the one. Bought online. I am waiting to see if mine bulks up a little more, maybe it’s been compressed in it bag longer.I hope it bulks up more than it is.I also can’t judge it’s warmth as it is mid summer. My online purchase experience was good and considering it was Christmas, delivery time was good.
I needed a light weight jacket as I spend a lot of time working outdoors and I am also required to travel quite a bit. The Macpac Uber Light Down Jacket packs down into a bag about the size of three tennis balls; its light. When on, its very warm and comfortable. To be honest, I misplaced my first jacket and waited all of 5 days to find it - before getting back to Rebel Sport to buy the rtepolacement. The jacket is fantastic.
Great navy colour and the Uber light down jacket is perfect for Brisbane weather. Can wear it all through winter. Easy to pack away if needed. Keeps you nice and warm on cold days. But doesn't over heat you too much either such a good jacket for 10+ degrees. I love all the colours I have three of these jackets in different colours with and without hoods. I'm between xl and xxl, I have both. xl is a bit tight if zipped up. But I wear both.
The perfect companion to the MacPac feather vest. Bought them both at the same time and they’ve been great for winter on the coast. It packs away neatly in its small stuff sack and can be secreted away in my day pack in case the weather turns cool. I’ve had it through winter and so far it’s been perfect. It doesn’t get really cold where I live so it’s a good replacement for my bulky polartech jumpers. Very satisfied with this purchase
This puffer jacket is a true marvel, seamlessly combining remarkable warmth and featherlight comfort. Its expert insulation technology creates a cozy microclimate, shielding you from winter's chill. Surprisingly lightweight, it liberates movement without sacrificing its warming prowess. The sleek design flatters while offering practicality, including an adjustable hood and well-placed pockets. Built to last, it withstands the test of time. From urban environments to outdoor adventures, this puffer jacket excels in both style and function. Embrace the pinnacle of warmth and lightweight bliss with this exceptional garment.
