Not sure about this jacket, just feel like the front is sliding back and I have to constantly pull back to the front again. Maybe something to do with the design. In general I like Macpac jackets which I had several of them. But for this particular one I am not so keen to wear it. Otherwise good colour, still can see through underneath due to the thin material. Hope your designer team will look into for improvement.

Love this jacket so much I bought this again. My previous/old one was in blue colour with size 10. Somehow this new made one is abit bigger on me. Got the size 8, it's perfect. Very light and easy to trave with. I may buy again .... with different colour and without hood. Will see!

Loving this is my second one of these jackets true to size measurements great as an extra layer over thermals and under raincoat. Notice a few little feathers fly out often but feels cosy and cost effective. Not that breathable if on long hikes, not that you can avoid moisture but if drawing moisture away from the body is a priority perhaps best as an extra layer on top at night as it packs small it is still a great lightweight item to fit in backpack. Glad I got with hood as been showered on a couple of times without raincoat or umbrella and it dried surprisingly quickly so that’s a plus. Kept me nice and warm in 3-10degrees temperatures so far. Be nice to have dark teal or purple available as colour options in larger sizing. Think I’ll get the longer version next ... MoreLoving this is my second one of these jackets true to size measurements great as an extra layer over thermals and under raincoat. Great lightweight jacket perfect for this inbetween Spring season. Packs easily away so great for in the bag about just over half a size of a forearm- prob worth buying as a member though, as I’m not sure how durable it would be for full price. Feels like it would snag or rip easily, or the pocket zips would break. True to size, but sized up due to the last fact. Great for layering, fits nicely under my current raincoat without being bulky. Overall, pretty happy with purchase.
I took this jacket on a 5 week holiday of the UK and Scandinavia during September. Most days the daytime temperature varied between 10 and 20 degrees. This lightweight jacket was perfect - easy to get on and off, rolled up small while i was in the car or bus, and bonus being waterproof with hood - i only had to carry my umbrella with me if the rain was really heavy. I also used it on the plane in conjunction with a short sleeved t shirt and it rolled up to make a reasonable pillow against the window or as a cover over my lap in case i spilled anything.
I have two diamond pattern Uber Lights and they are my most favourite jackets. Warm, light, comfortable and a lovely fit. I ordered a blue Uber Light while it was in the sale. This one has stitching in lines instead of diamonds. Same size as other two. Much, much bigger! I nearly returned it. The style is very different. Longer, looks heavier, hood is way bigger. I really, really don’t like it as much as the other two diamond stitched ones. So many people say they like those ones, they’re unusual and a great look. I’m very sad that Macpac changed this design…definitely for the worse. I’m keeping my blue one, and will wear it to make my other two last longer….photo is my original diamond one Write your review here. It must be at least 20 characters long. This jacket is a nice light weight, but very warm. Love the light blue colour. I have washed it a few times over the years. Once it did not dry straight away due to poor drying weather and the feathers had stained the jacket a bit. Should have rolled in a towel to get excess water out quicker.
Super light, super warm. I deliberately bought a size 16 for extra room, so I could wear layers under it. I wear a size 14 tui fleece pullover under it and then a long sleeve tshirt because I don't like feeling cold. This usually gets me feeling a bit hot though, even standing on the sidelines at kid sport in the morning. I would normally be a size 12.
Very happy with this jacket. So comfortable and light. Great quality. Warm enough for a chilly Australian morning. Bought it for a trip to Italy in September as it squishes down nicely in its little bag. I'm usually a size 10-12 … bought a 14 and I love it as I don't like jackets to feel restrictive
2 internal patch pockets are ace, in addition to the external zippered ones which are perfect hand warming size. Wrinkles drop out quickly when out of the stuff sack, which is exactly the right size. Elastic at the edge of the hood and cuffs and the zipper placket at the neck has a little foldover tab so the zip end doesn't scratch my neck. All these little details make wearing it a pleasure. Goes without saying that it's warm and packs tiny.. (178cm/90kg =size 18 gives me room for a tee and merino jumper with a bit of wriggle room. Sleeve length great).
