A great, healthy product! This is a product I regularly buy, so very happy to get it as a sample. I really love the jar. The white coconut oil pops up behind all the colourful writing. Great cooking oil alternative. I've never been a huge fan of coconut flavour so I was a little reluctant to use this in my usual baking. While waiting for the right sweet recipe inspiration to strike, I stumbled across a recipe for Coconut-Oil Fried Peanut Chicken with Thai Honey Butter. OMG this was amazing! Rather than deep frying I just used most of this small jar to shallow fry. The chicken is then finished off in the oven so it didn't feel overly oily to eat. The smell of coconut was strong while I was heating the oil but the flavour was quite subtle, probably helped by the other complementary flavours of the dish. I also used a little in a recipe for coconut rice. Not my usual recipe. To be honest I couldn't pick which recipe was better, my usual or the one ... MoreGreat cooking oil alternative. A great all purpose oil. Fabulous product what can be used in absolutely any recipe and multiple household uses. Taste/texture: smooth not overly coconut flavour. Solidifies when cooled down making in perfect for setting recipes. Not grainy at all. Packaging: I love a good jar and this is perfect. Can be reused and label easily peels off. Price: Super affordable compared to other coconut oil products. A little goes a long way so each serve is less than 30cents (based on teaspoon use) Additional: I adore the versatility of this product. I use it in all my recipes and to fry foods as it has a high heat point. Can be used as a hair mask, detangler for knots and deep moisturiser for dry skin. My Go-To For Healthier Eating. When I can't get a jar of coconut oil on special this is my go-to brand. In fact when I got home from adding it to my groceries discovered I already had a jar of it in my pantry to confirm this. It was easy to find on the shelf and the price is reasonable but if you are going to use it a lot then I'd suggest getting the larger 900g jar which is much cheaper than buying this smaller size. The label is pretty standard for a Macro product, not outstanding but still reasonably appealing. I like that I can clearly see the product inside the jar so I know what I'm getting. The only disappointing point is that it is a product of the Phillipines, not Australia but since I guess most coconut is probably sourced overseas this wasn't a huge deal ... MoreMy Go-To For Healthier Eating. The only disappointing point is that it is a product of the Phillipines, not Australia but since I guess most coconut is probably sourced overseas this wasn't a huge deal for me. I like that it has no artifical colours, flavours or preservatives and is cold-pressed and naturally unrefined. Since I am trying to eat more healthily these days a lot more of my recipes call for coconut oil, especially the occasional biscuits and slices. I find most coconut oils very similar so it was hard to distinguish between other brands I buy or have bought in the past. But I was more than happy with this one. It's often hard to scrape it out of the jar, especially on cooler days but that's across the board with this product and not specific to this brand or jar. Even though it can be frustrating have accepted it's one of it's properties and am used to it. While I primarily use it for cooking and baking it is also great as a beauty product. A small mount is good on the lips as a natural lip balm and there are other skincare recipes you can use it for. I highly recommend this product and will definitely be buying again.

Love. I am a big fan of coconut oil, and this was very good. I have bought it before and enjoyed the product. I like that tthis is organic, and it seems to be of good quality. The jar is a good size for those who don’t use it everyday. I love it when cooking popcorn, in stirfrys, curries and sometimes add a little to rice for flavour to stop it sticking. One of the best fats for high-heat cooking and frying as it is high in saturated fat and retain structure and doesn’t covert to toxin compounds when heated to high temperatures. great for dairy free baking and in desserts (mix with cocoa and honey for a yummy fudge slice) A great base for topical essential oil application smooth through ends of curly/ textured hair use as a scalp massage, smooth through hair ends, ... MoreLove. Macro Organic Virgin Coconut Oil. I used to buy this product years ago as I was told that it was a healthier option. So I was pleased to receive this sample now, after have some time not using it, to see what I thought about it and was it, really a healthier option? Well, clearly times have changed, as it is not the healthier option due to its high level of unsaturated fat. Therefore, this product should be used sparingly. The glass bottle allows for easy spoon portions when the oil is solidified however I would prefer a bottle when the oil becomes liquid. Quality coconut oil. This was easy to find in store with the other coconut oils. On opening the jar there was a pleasant coconut smell, and the texture of the oil is creamy and smooth. In cooler weather or in the fridge this solidifies, but on a warm day at room temperature it will range from soft and creamy through to liquid. It then returns to its previous form when the weather cools or warms again. I have tried this in cooking and it is nice, but can be inconvenient digging it out of the jar when solid, so usually use olive oil instead. I do like to use this as a moisturiser and hair mask, and find it very moisturising on dry or damaged hair. I know many people in the southern parts of Australia (our weather is cold) don’t like it’s a solid product. Good Product. Despite the fact that I cannot consume too much coconut oil - makes me feel extremely nauseous if I eat more than a tablespoons worth (as quite a heavy rich oil for my liver to handle)I do still use it for various things like, greasing pans before baking cakes, or a teaspoon stirred into a smoothie, and oil pulling before brushing my teeth. And I hope this can be written here without someone being offended. But sometimes if I get psoriasis patches "downstairs" (if you know what I mean), coconut oil will help it clear up quicker. I feel very confident, that it is a safe pure product to use around that delicate area. I don't use it as a moisturizer for skin care or hair care, as I actually find it it does the opposite (very drying) when overused. I use to use it warmed up for Abhyanga, until I discovered it solidifies in your drains and blocks them (if using for oil pulling, then I spit out in a tissue and throw in the bin)I did use it for shaving my legs once, and that turned out to be a mistake, as ended up grazing myself by shaving too close. My cats love it, and years ago when I did use it on my legs (before I realized how drying it was), they use to get into a frenzy trying to lick it off my legs. If a malting cat rubs against you when you have it on your legs, it is a nuisance to then remove their hairs too!The label says unrefined. However, I have in the past found unrefined oils to taste more strongly of coconut, whereas here I could hardly taste coconut at all. However, despite the mild taste for me, I would certainly choose unrefined over refined (as refined has been deodorized and bleached)The label doesn't say Raw (unheated) coconut oil, so I would presume then that its not, even though the label reads like it is....... this is unclear and very confusingOverall I love is Marco Organic OilIt will take me probably six months to get through it. Excellent value for moneyWhilst this is a product of the Philippines - which I have no problem with. But have to wonder why Macro don't use Australian coconuts, as there are billions in Queensland dropping all over the place. Thank you for the sample..

So goood Coconut Oil. Woolworths Macro Organic Virgin Coconut Oil has so many uses. I love to use it for pan frying my steaks or chicken. 1. Coconut Oil doesn’t burn and smoke up the kitchen when cooking on high heat like Olive Oil does. 2. You can use Coconut Oil instead of butter when making muffins or cakes. 3. Rub a small amount into your wood chopping boards to waterproof and moisturise your boards. 4. Coconut Oil can be used as a facial moisturiser. 5. Just do a GOOGLE search and have a look yourself. Coconut oil will go into a white solid mass when cold or if kept in the fridge. It will turn clear and look runny like water if it’s a warm day and left on your kitchen bench. Coconut has a very mild taste making it a wonderful alternative to butter or margarine. Fantastic if you are Vegan or can’t have dairy. I certainly will be purchasing again as I love that it’s natural, healthy and tastes great !!! A larger size would be fantastic. Thanks Woolies
