Lentils at leisure. Made up of 60% Italian certified organic lentils and the other ingredient is water. It states no added salt but yet it contains 47mg sodium per serve!I normally soak and cook my. own lentils so was interested to see how this product compares. I used my sample to make a Middle Eastern rice and lentil dish that is topped with caramelised onion served with a yoghurt, cucumber, garlic and mint side. This product is looking to make a quick meal. Good texture and mouth feel but bear in mind long cooking times will make them mushy. Thanks Bunch for the opportunity to try this sample. Will recommend on basis of convenience and quality.

Perfect for boosting your bolognese. I love these lentils. I easily found these in the canned vegetable section of woolies and there was plenty of stock. I was really pleased to see that the ingredients were only lentils and water, whereas other brands tend to put salt or some sort of additive in. They were really easy to use, I simply drained, rinsed and then added them to a bolognese to boost the nutritional content and volume. They only needed a short amount of cooking until they were soft and tasted really delicious. I would definitely buy these again.

Gr8 value protein source . Love the macro range. I enjoyed the lentils, adding them to salad, soup, & they were great in a curry with cauliflower rice. Good source of protein & fibre. Texture/shape of lentils was retained after drain & rinse. Convenient product to have in pantry, for addition, or as a complete meal. Product is at good value price point. Certified organic with no added salt. This is a winner. Thx bunch. Will add this to my regular shop.

Organic Lentils where in the world produced? These were a convenient can of organic lentils (although I am not sure which country these were produced in, as they are "packed in Italy"). I am not sure of the organic tag if we aren't being told where in the world these were produced..... no food mapping here. Normally we buy Australian chickpeas or dry lentils that we cook ourselves to increase iron levels in the family members who are vegetarian. Having canned was convenient. We used these in salad and soup. We liked the ingredients were just lentils and water without any preservatives or other things added. It would be nice to know the country of production, not just be told where these were packed. Overall, convenient, not food mapped and sticking with our usual ... Good product. These were easy to find on the shelf, located with the canned vegetables as expected. The ingredients are just organic lentils and water.. excellent!Packed in Italy. $1. 70 per can, I'd happily pay that for a certified organic product with no nasty additives. I don't eat lentils on their own, but I do cook with them. I added some of these lentils into bolognaise and I'll use the rest in a curry. Thanks for the sample Bunch, not something I'd buy every week but I will continue to purchase this product occasionally.
A stable in our cupboard. This is something we use a lot though we don't normally buy the organic one. The price between the homebrand non organic and this one is about 80c so not something to write home about. Interestingly the energy kilojoules on the Macro can is also listed in kilocalories whilst this isn't the case on the non organic brand.
Lentils are Versatile. The Lentils are Certified Organic No Added Salt Lentils they are a good source of fibre and a source of Protein. Health Star Rating 5⭐RatingPacked in Italy packed for Woolworths New Zealand. Ingredients - Organic Lentils (60%) Water in a 425g can. Can't remember the last time that I had Lentils so that I decided to make a Salad with them, chopped up the cos lettuce, red onion, grated some carrot, chopped up some cucumbers, tomatoes, added the Lentils and made a Salad Dressing by using a French Dressing and adding some Djorn Mustard to the sauce. The Salad tasted great especially with Beetroot and a Salmon fillets with Sweet Potato Wedges.
Fibre and Protein. This sample was easy to find in the canned vegetables aisle. It was found next to the corn & chickpeas and was located mid shelf. It is priced at $1. 70 for a 425 gram can and has a 5 star health rating. It is certified organic and has no added salt. Half a cup = 1 serve of vegetables. Ingredients are organic lentils and water. Best before date of May 2024. Handy product to keep in the pantry. The only negative is it is packed in Italy but has no information on the orgin of the product which I think should be listed on the can. The can is easy to open with a ring pull, so no need for a can opener. The lentils are a great addition to salads, curries, soups and bolognaise. A healthy option for the pantry. I recently swapped to this brand because of the 'no added salt' claim. I still rinse them but figure it'll be better for me. I use lentils all the time for salads and then throw a tin into the odd chicken curry or savoury mince for extra nutrition. Before buying this one I went on a hunt for Aussie lentils in the supermarket but found none. Seems we export tons of the red ones each year so we do grow them. Shame we can't make them here instead of sourcing from Italy. Being Macro Organic, you will pay a little more for them but they are good quality and I'm happy to continue buying.
Convenient pantry staple to have on hand! This is another panty staple that is convenient to have on hand. I add it to bolognese sauce, meatfree burger patties, stews and soups. It is convenient and easy to open with the pull ring, organic with no nasties inside. It can be recycled after finished with it. Also no added salt, so it won't upset the balance of flavours in your meal.
