Easy and tasty. I love pumpkin kernels and the Macro Organic Natural Pumpkin Kernels were no exception. They are so easy to add to a salad or sprinkle on top of a banana bread and add a delicious flavour and crunch. I like to briefly pan fry them so the flavour comes out even more and then add them to a spinach and roast pumpkin salad. I had some trouble finding these as the packaging is very similar to the non-organic Macro Pumpkin Kernels, but ended up finding them with the other organic products. Interestingly, these organic ones are $1 more expensive per 250 grams, which is quite a lot. I didn't taste any difference between the two products so will continue to the buy the non-organic kernels. Overall, a tasty, healthy and convenient product that I can definitely ... MoreEasy and tasty. I love pumpkin kernels and the Macro Organic Natural Pumpkin Kernels were no exception. A real treat. Anyone who has worked or lived in America USA will recognise this snack straight away. Pumpkin kernels are as common to USA as pop corn is to us. At neally all entertainment and sports venues they share the counter with lollies and chocolates. Health wise this snack is so versatile for inner health and included in cooking adds a great crunch. Pumpkin kernels are also a rich source of b complex vitamins, such as thaimin, ribo flavin, niacin. Instead of sugar laden treats these are terrific to nibble on while giving yourself a top health snack. Maybe natural are part of the answer for our own health and not so reliant on chemicals. A great treat

OK for Snacking. I was excited to try the Certified Organic Natural Pumpkin Kernels by Macro wholefoods market, as I had eaten pumpkin kernels/seeds before and I knew how yummy they were to eat. Plus they are a source of iron, magnesium and protein which definitely peaked my interest. Unfortunately these weren't WOW worthy for me. I felt they lacked a bit of flavour and didn't taste like pumpkin kernels I'd had before. I feel these were ok to eat as a snack for in between meals, but not necessarily would I eat again due to the lack of taste. I also noticed on the back of the packet, the product is Produced In China and Packed in Australia. Once again I'm seeing more imported products (especially from China) than what we are producing here in Australia.. Is there a ... MoreOK for Snacking. Bundles of goodness. Easily found with all the other macro products for $5 for a 250g pack. Packed in a zip lock bag which is easy to open and re seal with bag to return to store for disposal. Certified organic with a 5âď¸ HR with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Gluten free and suitable for vegetarians and vegan. Source of iron and magnesium for happy nerves and muscles. Delicious and versatile as a snack to eat as is or added to granola, mixed into batters for cakes and breads or used as I did in a trail mix. Consistent in size and shape they are soft and easy to digest with a plain natural flavour. Produced in China but packed in Australia which is the reason I deducted a âď¸ as I donât buy food produced in China
Great addition to salads, baking or just snacking on. I was lucky to get these as a limited release sample. The pumpkin kernels are fresh tasting and a good size. Ingredients listed on the bag is just one - organic pumpkin kernels They are perfect to either just snack on, add to salads or use in baking. We enjoy them in a salad for the crunch & texture & on my banana & pecan nut loaf. 5 Health star âď¸ rating. Produced in China packed in Australia - lost a âď¸ for this. $5. 00 for 250g, servings per pack: approx 8They were easy to find in the macro health food aisle, on the second last shelf. They come in a resealable bag, which is very handy, but once opened store in an airtight container. Produced in China. Only ever had them before in bread loaves. A handful makes a quick and enjoyable healthy snack that is tasty. The back of the packaging states âOnce opened, store in an airtight container... â. However, the pumpkin kernels come in a handy resealable bag, strange. I had no trouble finding the Macro Organic Natural Pumpkin Kernels in my local Woolworths store. Unfortunately, they are produced in China so I would not buy them in the future.
Healthy and tasty. Very versatile product. It can be eaten on its own. Can be added to cereal, a salad and even yoghurt or a smoothie. When put of their packaging one wouldnât even know they are a woollies âhome brandedâ product as some people in society still feel that there is a stigma attached to buying a âhome brandedâ supermarket product, when in fact this isnât so, as now the products available for purchase are far better than what they were years ago. You can easily eat the whole packet without feeling guilty. Sad to see that the product is coming from China & not sure how I feel at the moment in supporting china when they arenât supporting Australia so to speak. Thank you wollies for the sample. I liked it.
Healthy and lovely appearance. I compared these to the Woolworths generic brand which I had on hand. The Macro Organic seeds were better in appearance overall without much variation in colour - they were mostly all green. They didn't have the lovely crunch of the generic brand however. The Macro ones seemed thinner and softer. I would still purchase the Macro seeds for health benefits considering that they should have less or no pesticide residue. Also, I would say that the flavour was not quite as nice as the generic brand. However, since the majority of people buy pumpkin seeds for health benefits, the Macro Organic brand is probably a better choice.
Love These! We use pumpkin kernels a lot, but usually don't buy the macro version, so I was interested to see the difference. The pumpkin kernels were easy to find in the health food aisle, with the other packets of seeds, nuts, etc. At $4 for the 250 gram bag, they were reasonably priced - slightly more expensive than the non-macro Woolworths pepita seeds. My husband likes to add some spices to pumpkin kernels and sunflower seeds, toast them in a frypan or in the oven, and keep in an air-tight container for snacking on. This mix is also delicious in salads, to top off a bowl of soup or instead of nuts in pesto (as are the non-spiced seeds straight from the packet). Our grandchildren also love the seeds and ask for a bowl when they see them on the bench. The kernels ... MoreLove These! These pumpkin kernels are a healthy, delicious snack, as well as a great addition to main meals. I will continue to purchase them. Thanks so much for the sample.
Organic version of a pantry staple. I recently received and reviewed the Macro Pumpkin Kernels so to receive the Organic version was a great sample as a comparison. Found in the Macro/health food aisle, this product was easy to locate. Being packaged in the distinctive beige and green Macro pouches, you have to be careful you pick up the right product, but the large purple âorganicâ labelling was a welcome addition to the bag. In addition, the resealable pouch is handy. As I mentioned in my previous review, we use pumpkin kernels a lot! And we love them! The main thing I needed to determine was whether the âorganicâ tag changed things - the taste, texture, the added cost benefit? I used this product to make my usual homemade granola. They were bright green little morsels of nutty deliciousness. A great product. However, in this instance I can honestly say I found no difference between the normal pumpkin kernels and the organic pumpkin kernels. At $4 per kilo more in price, I wouldnât buy this organic product. However if you prefer an organic diet, then I can recommend this product as high quality.
