Love these! We are big fans of many of the macro brand products - these quinoa flakes included! We use them in muesli, with mixed seeds on chia pudding, in Anzac biscuit recipes along with oats and in ancient grain salad. This brand works just as expected/the same as other health food or market varieties I’ve had. Thank you for having such good quality and accessible health foods Woolworths! And excellent for bunch samples too

Odd product to have in the pantry. I hadn't heard of these flakes before, and not sure even now that I have, that I really need them in my pantry. They sat there for 2 weeks looking at me & other than adding them to cereal (which I hardly eat), I had no idea what to do with them to try them. In the end, I added them to the top of some yoghurt 'just to try'. I can't say neither here nor there that they made a difference. I can live without them thanks. Possibly a great product to those who "need" them for certain recipes, but without a need, they are 'just another product on my pantry shelf'. Thanks Bunch for throwing a curve ball at us with this sample, but certainly not my fave or memorable 'new product' to try.

Not Sure. This is one of those products I am not sure about. We are told they are healthy, but they are expensive and have little taste. I added my sample to my usual homemade muesli mix and it went well with the other ingredients. I was happy to have the opportunity to sample these Quinoa Flakes as I do try to have a balanced, healthy diet, but at the price I'd prefer to buy fresh seasonal fruit and homebrand oats for breakfast.

Interesting Ingredient. I've been trying to look up ways to use this product. Mostly its baking or porridge recipies I found. I ended up adding some to my Pastie slice as a way to make it more healthy. As far as I can tell it did help to bind the meat and veg together nicely, though non of the flavour of the quinoa flakes came through. This morning I added some to my usual oat porridge. I could taste the quinoa over the oats. It was ok. I still have some of the product left so I will keep on "experimenting" on how to use it. Maybe in some muffins or add to anzac biscuits. Would I purchase again? Probably not, though I did appreciate the chance to get to try it.
Healthy alternative. Having never used this before, I was a bit stumped on how to use and nervous to try. I used them as an alternative to rolled oats in a slice I make for my daughter's school snack. It gave the slice a bit more of a nuttier flavour, but she didn't pick the difference which was a bonus. Great alternative to oats, but as this is much dearer to buy, it won't be a regular purchase
Surprised! I am on a gluten free diet and couldn't think of what to use these for. Did some googling and a few things came up including using them like you would use oats ... which I can't use due to the gluten. So this weekend I made apple crumble. What a fantastic straight swap - quinoa flakes instead of oats. Worked a treat and best crumble I have had since I had to give up gluten. Thankyou Woolies! I thought I had to live with soft crumble for ever.
Something different. Didn't know what to do with them at first, but have started adding them into things in place of rolled oats - so far as good! Will definitely keep them in mind for gluten free snacks. Will also have to try making porridge with them!Would love to see these sorts of things in bigger packets (or even a zero waste option).
Used as porridge for breakfast. I have never used quinoa before, so wasn’t sure on what to make! I am an Uncle Tobys oat person so I tried this product as porridge. I made it on the stove top as per the instructions on the packet. It cooked well and did make a decent serve. The texture is different to Uncle Toby oats. I couldn’t really taste any flavour, so I ate it with strawberries and blueberries on top! I still prefer the consistency of Uncle Tobys. I think I shall try it in some muffins or biscuits and see how that goes. Don’t think I would buy again.
Been quite handy. ! Has been a handy product that we can add into various meals as an oat substitute or for breadcrumbs (when we ran out). Has done the job and been good to have. We used them as a few substitutes where it was the main ingredient and we were not fans, but when added for some texture or bulk it was fine.
Not For My Tastebuds. Read up on the health benefits so thought I would replace it with my usual rolled oats. Having never tried this before, I cooked it up the same adding brown sugar & fruit. I found the flavour not to my liking and struggled to finish it. I do wonder whether it could be used in biscuits or muffins or a "healthy"cake? If I can find a recipe I will most likely finish the packet off. Thank you for the opportunately to try.
