Sturdy, Australian made, and functional. It would be helpful if it either included a hose clamp or came with a note that one is needed to connect your main hose to the axle (the other for the tail to the tap is a click fitting).

bought one of these after a disaster purchase of a plastic hose reel..had to wait a couple of weeks for store to get stock in, but worth the wait. very smooth operation, very easy to wind and unwind hose.good value, and it's australian made. thoroughly recommend.

It’s so good very light to carry around and it works well. It is better than the plastic ones that we have had.
Would be nice to have the connection point to it and note that its not made for thick hoses. Could be good but I'm unable to us it with the hose i purchased. Kid uses it as a toy to push around
I am hard pressed to say this is cheap. The plastic turning fitting gives out in a very short time and replacements are very expensive with a live span of not very long. Disappointing.
Welds broke where the uprights are attached to the base after about 1 months use. Two small welds are not enough to hold the weight of the hose.
We’ve just bought 2 more making a total of 6 on our property now. The first 2 were bought about 5 years ago and are still going strong. Initially we had the green plastic coated ones which are similar but just fall apart and rust. The gold coloured ones are easy I find to wind up, and just as easy, if not more so to pull out than the retractable hose reels.
This hose reel is much better than the plastic ones you have to put together, they always fall apart and leak. Not this one, I have another just like it and it has lasted 2 years without problems. I am buying another one for my beach house.
This is well made and is fully assembled not like the cheaper plastic ones which from experience break easily. Don't waste your money on the cheaper wire reel at less than half the price as it is poorly made and no hose connector seems to fit it.
