Something to know that I never saw before I bought it, the trackpad creates a cursor (circle) on the screen so you can move around the screen and use gestures like a regular laptop computer.The keyboard syncs with the iPad, no Bluetooth connection necessary, it syncs via the three dots on the back of the iPad under “iPad Pro.”The keyboard has a charging port on the left side of the cylindrical hinge (USB-C), but the keyboard uses the iPad’s battery to charge it.Opening the keyboard folio, it keeps its position. It’s very sturdy.I love this keyboard so much.I use my iPad more now because of the keyboard.It’s easy to work with clients using this tiny laptop.

Ordered online. Came after two days. Seemed in good condition but when I started using it it smelt of tobacco. Being a non smoker it was annoying me and seemed stronger as I used it for longer periods. I returned it to our local shop who were really understanding and refunded me instantly so that I could order another one. My new one arrived following day and smells fresh so I am pleased with the service. Still getting used to a separate keyboard but think my husband who uses a computer and can touch type will enjoy this product which gives more screen space as the keyboard is separate.

I bought this Magic Keyboard for my new iPad Pro 11” after having a Logitech for my last iPad and it is far superior. Best feature: the track pad. Another great feature: the usb-c plug on the left side of the keyboard’s hinge charges the iPad from the other side. Superior engineering. Only drawback is the Apple Pencil has nothing other than the magnetics to hold it in place, so I bought a simple attachment from Amazon to hold the pencil in place when I’m carrying it. While it is a little pricey, I would highly recommend.

Therefore, is a little problematic to change between the two.
I have used ClamCase keyboards in the past and was hoping this real Apple keyboard would work well. Overall fairly disappointed. When the screen is tilted back, it gets in the way of my hands when I am typing. The tilt position is very limited. It won't tilt back very far so could be an issue in a tight situation such as an airplane seat. The default key assignments are bizarre e.g. the Space Bar is assigned as an Activate key, so the user has to figure out how to remap the space bar to a space bar. No home key. For an Apple accessory that costs this much I was expecting better. I really preferred the ClamCase concept with full range of motion for the display including folding the display back on the keyboard.
Great keyboard with a trackpad that is ridiculously easy to set up and use. You literally just place the tablet on the keyboard and voila! It's not as protective as some of the dedicated iPad cases out there (all four sides are somewhat exposed) but it works incredibly well. You'll also need a place to store your Apple Pencil if you have one, the magnets aren't strong enough to prevent the Pencil from going missing. Zagg makes an excellent product for this. It would've also been great to have this in more than just two colors, e.g., in pink to match the iPad Air 5th gen.

What I DON’T like: 1) too heavy. 2) doesn’t allow my iPad to lay flat. 3) angle is very limited. 4) when angled back, it gets in the way of the keyboard. Awkward to type when it “blocks” the keyboard. 5) no 360 degree rotation. 6) THE WORST PART IS THAT SOME KEYS ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE DON’T WORK! I type “p” and it goes to “caps lock”. I type a colon and I get an an apostrophe. These letters/symbols are the ones that give me trouble: 0, _ and -, + and =, Pp, open and closed brackets and braces, Ll, colon and semicolon, quotation marks and apostrophe, greater than and less than, comma, period, question mark and backslash. 6) too expensive. Honestly, for the price, we deserve better.
