The magic mixies lamp blew my mind, it kept my daughter and my older relatives engaged all evening. The spell, lights, sounds and 'smoke' bring the toy perfectly together and a cute little sidekick at the end of it is an added bonus! We throughly enjoyed casting our spell and playing with our new Mixie at the end of it. A few issues I noticed were the sound- the toy is very loud and at the end of a busy day the last thing I want for my overloaded sensitive brain is to hear the noises it makes and the songs it plays. The cute little added tricks that the mixie can do make extended play better and the fact the toy cam reveal most other toys ... Wow we had Magic mixies genie lamp to try and it was amazing. The lamp is quite big but the little ones managed it ok. Once the lamp was out of the package we just followed the step by step instructions. The children loved that they had to rub the lamp for the magic to begin. It was a bit tricky tipping the lamp as it was a bit heavy but they managed it well. There were gasps of surprise when the smoke appeared along with the magic ring. We had lots of giggles trying to copy the genie knocking inside and having the uh oh noise when we failed. When the genie finally appeared there was great delight and a bit of a tussle with the twins to claim it but they agreed to share in the end. She wouldn't at 6 years old have been sold to do it on her own and definitely needed the instructions to ensure it worked as it should.
