My experience with the Mg chloride you sent is it is almost impossible to dissolve in water. If that is the case one has to ask how absorbable it is when ingested. Yet dissolubility (absorption) is the very reason for purchasing the product to start with.We went back to magnesium citrate (quickly dissolvable in water).

I am thrilled to find magnesium chloride available (it's not easy to find). Not only do I need the magnesium but I can use the extra chloride anyway for digestive purposes (helps with HCl acid production). I keep these pills as dry as possible to keep them pills from falling apart and so far have had no problems. Most definitely I can tolerate this (bowel-wise) better than any other form of magnesium. For those folks who have a sensitive gag reflex, know that the pills are a bit "rough" and perhaps not the easiest to swallow. I just crunch down and swish the slightly crushed pill down with some water - problem solved. Kudos to Piping Rock for providing this wonderful source of magnesium - I am very grateful.

horrible product. at least half of the tablets in the bottles crumbled into powder. the powder left is too bitter to try to swallow. would not ever buy again.

But they couldn't tell me what the amount of magnesium per ounce was just that they mix 70% water with 30% magnesium flakes and the only ingredients for the magnesium was magnesium oil. No other ingredients listed. I noticed that they don't have any laboratory test results online. They probably don't have much magnesium per ounce but they charge as much as those other magnesium oil sellers charge and the other companies have double and triple the magnesium per ounce and so you get double or triple the magnesium that piping rock includes. I found I am low in Mg by trying different therapies, the chloride form of Mg is easily used by the body. I find taking this internally and making a Mg oil from crystals to apply externally relieves soreness and aches plus I feel much more energetic. Make sure to have a drink of water available, the pill itself is large size but it breaks apart almost immediately in my mouth and easily washes down with water.

It is okay. Tried to include this in my 7-day pill case. After a day, these tablets will start to eat through any gel caps in the pill case. It melted the caps. These tablets should be stored and dispensed through its original container. If there is a coating on it, it is very thin.
This magnesium chloride does leave an after-taste and you can not put in a pill box for nay length of time. The chalky pills start to break down almost immediately after removing them from the pill bottle.
