Easy to use saw ideal for skirting and architrave small cutting jobs
The blade doesnt spin fast enough and therefore the blade snags on the timber and is potentially very dangerous and therefore potential to do damage to your hand/fingers. I was only cutting beading to go around a wood floor and took me so much longer cutting numerous times when it had snagged the beading whilst cutting the mitre
Provided you remember that this is an 18 volt battery tool you should not be disappointed. It is great for getting you out of trouble when there is no mains power for a transformer or you don't carry a generator. I have cut skirting and architrave for a two bed house and still had power left in a 5 amp battery. It will cut studwork and joists but these will drain the battery a lot quicker.
I use a lot of festoon stuff but Im finding that MAKITA is the way to go. Tools last years
For the money you pay it is far from quality tool,I have bought a Milwaukee now and it's nothing compare with Makita my mate has a DeWalt super saw as well,I would newer recommend Makita.
Light , easy to carry . Perfect for cutting timber . Saves lugging out a transformer and a big chop saw . Very happy with my buy . Only down fall if you want to call it this , fitted oak skirting that was 150mm tall . 5amp batteries didnt last long . Still did the job but would say that was near its limit . Keep the blade sharp and stick to normal cuts then its perfect.
Never had a problem with makita in 36 plus yrs, good quality tools, well worth the mony they cost, recomend to anyone
