Great piece of kit.Can be adjusted from a very fine cut depth to a really deep cut and whatever it's set to it stays set to. Also it has the power to cope with deep cuts. Haven't yet tried rabbetting with it but have no reason to believe it won't perform well. Only criticism is it would be nice if it came with the collection bag included. It produces a lot of shavings which are ejected with some force. Without the bag, cleaning the floor of shavings after use is the longest part of the job.
