I've been waiting for Makita to bring this out for some time, and now it's here I am not disappointed in the least! A superb tool that gets places others cannot reach, has alternate arms available, both thinner and wider than the standard supplied one. It is comfortable to use with noticeably better vibration damping and plenty of power. Very happy with it and well worth the price!

Unbelievable tool. I’ve had the 240 v one for about 6or7years now. Been waiting for a battery one for ages. Comes in for scribing skirting and architrave,fitting locks and latches. Wouldn’t be without it.
I own a number of Makita cordless tools and the quality is outstanding. This power file was purchased to replace my corded version (still working) as it is better suited to the jobs I do. You can swap over the arm to hold wider sanding belts, something that is not mentioned in the product description.
As with all Makita products, very robust construction, comfortable to use and most importantly does a great job.
Yes it's a little heavy. But it's very well built , along with variable trigger speeds it also has 5 pre set limiter. The sanding arm is also adjustable.
The best tool Makita have ever produced in their range of cordless power tools.
