Way more powerful than I imagined, so could not be happier. Even with my older 2ah batteries I still get a good 10-15mins of use, but look forward to getting a bigger 5ah battery to make best use of this. Clears away leaves (even wet leaves) with ease, and have been using it to blow away water from a patio build when grouting the joints, which was also really effective.

A Must Have

It's a Great item to have, small & Powerful, it's a Quick Draw I use it daily especially with Fall Season blow of the leaves from the front door & car windshield where vent trap normal gets clogged. However the advertisement stated that it came with the battery and a battery charger it did not. It was packed in the box loosely & no manual. But hey it's a Makita.

Absolute rubbish.

A fully charged battery lasts about two minutes. Fortunately I have a number of batteries available, but I would expect that a fully charged battery would last a few minutes. I only maintain a small area and have to change batteries so often that I end up resorting to using a broom.

Decent enough blower if you're invested in the Makita family, could be better

Bought this a couple of years ago, here's my take:Good- very well constructed- Rubberised grip is good in the hand- It's fairly quiet esp. compared to a petrol blower- Light weightNot so good- Quite inefficient on batteries, a 5Ah battery doesn't last long at all- Air volume/pressure not quite as good as a petrol blower, the 36V one would no doubt be better- Doesn't come with any extensions or nozzles, hence a bit too short for me (6'2")

Good light use blower.

This blower works as expected. Powerful enough for the designed use. I like that it light in weight making it easy to use. Some may consider battery life to be short, but with a 5 ah battery, it's acceptable.

Great surprise

I was trying to work out what the best tool to use to clean artificial turf and gravel that contains palm litter and seeds. I bought this thinking I could return it if it was a failure but what took me about an hour to do by rake was done in a few minutes. I was surprised with how well it removed fox tail palm seed from gravel. The variable speed makes sure your not going to blow the gravel away.

What an amazing bit of kit, read many reviews before buying it and it certainly is as good as those reviews. Eats batteries but this is the price you pay for the power it throws out. Clears leaves off the grass in about 30 seconds.

My favourite tool

This is a fantastic addition to my outdoor tools, saves me a lot of manual labor, working smarter not harder I wish I had bought one years ago. It is very lightweight, blows very well. I use it for everything for both home and cabin - yard clean up, deck, spider webs etc. It is a cordless battery powered unit, just like all tools that are battery powered the battery dies. Id say I get 20 minutes in one battery. Know the product and battery life before you buy, yes it would be nice to have a longer battery life but I don't think this tool is any different than any of the other brands.

Despite that it only works on 1 battery, it is very powerful (as much as my little cord blower) but what a comfort to work wirelessly! To give an idea of the power; when it is running, it is necessary to constantly fight against the force of the air flow which tends to make the blower move back. It is not a battery powered gadget! Amply sufficient autonomy for my surface with a single 5 Ah battery. Possibility of releasing the trigger during operation at the preset speed (like a cruise control!).
