High chain speed, 24m/s leads to reduced vibration but you do get the feeling torque has been sacrificed in achieving this. Apply any pressure of significance above saw weight and the chain stalls. There is an increased torque function but not particularly noticeable in use.The saw is light and easy to handle, battery life is reasonable if using a 5Ah but I would advise having at least 2 batteries available if planning use for a full day. Make no mistake, this is a serious saw and as such can cause serious damage if not handled correctly.

Very portable. Brilliant for smaller logs. Bigger stuff: you really need to go petrol. Overall. Ace.

Excellent control for trimming tree branches when dealing with odd angles and close quarters due to its' compact size. Bar length deals with a wide variety of limb sizes so that my full size chain saw has not been needed for a while. So far, a very worthwhile addition to my tool inventory. Happy with purchase.
Great product clips to your work belt light easy and fun to use just have to keep it clean or it will protect shut off to remind you other than That its an all around amazing tool for the farm around the home and in the toolbox ready when you forget your circler saw
So far the chainsaw is living up to Makita's reputation.

I've only assembled and give it a dry run at the moment, but seems well make and the motor is aggressive, I will let you know what it performs like when I've topped out some Fir trees with it.
