excellent adjusting capabilities for someone that is a little shorter. Quite light compared to the old gas trimmer that I had that wouldn't start well and was always requiring string readjustment. This one self feeds and starts and stops with the press of a button. Battery lasts long enough for me to get around my entire yard, just! Charging time is quite short. Less than an hour. I love it!!

Smelt burning after the first 5 minutes of use, then died on me. As a carpenter I would generally recommend Makita tools, but not this one.
had it back for repairs 3- 4 times. Kept replacing the motor until they said we were not using it for purpose ??Was in the shop more than we had it.
Lasted 4 years so got good use out of it. When you tap it toSpool out line you have to hit it hard enough that the shaft bends….but, it lasted 4 years.
Does what it is supposed to do with no problems. Excellent for around the section - would get something bigger if had banks etc to do though.
Love the battery compatability with my mower and leaf blower. Powerful and good cutter. Very happy
Works as advertised. Best for light duty, residential yards. Great addition if you're already a Makita 18V owner.
