Very good quality product as all Makita tools. Not the brightest light, but more than good enough as a work light and easily adjusted to spot or wide. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

This torch is quite expensive particularly when you add on the cost of the battery. Much better value if you have other 18v Makita products so you can mix and match. The strength of beam/light is adequate for most uses but it is versatile in that the beam can be adjusted from narrow to broad and the range is good. I do have several other Makita products but not necessarily 18v items but because I'm impressed by Makita's design, quality and pricing I'm sure I'll be investing in more.

Strong bright light. Glad I got the zoomable version. Its nice and wide for working on projects and the zoom function lets you see way into the distance. It is Makita quality and well balanced to hold. So good Im thinking of getting another.

Makita sent me a dead flashlight DML808. I have a bunch of their tools and they are excellent. I will probably just get a refund and forget this specific product.
I have had a Makita flashlight for years. I was looking for a second one and found the choices a little confusing. I did not have as many options the first time around. No LED then I chose the DML808 because of the brightness (200 lumins) and the adjustable beam. i am very happy with my purchase. it is very compact but not too small.
