Fantastic little saw, great for small dismantles or reductions - surprisingly powerful. Still bring my stihl petrol top handle for when the chunks get too big but very impressed by Makita's sub £400 (cheap!) top handle chainsaw 👍🏼👍🏼

Its a tool not a toy. Was able to fill a 16ft trailer with conifer cuttings on one charge. Its nice to be able to keep it in the hand while loading the trailer. Cuts larger logs than I expected if you don't apply any force and let the chain do the work. Very happy with mine would recommend.

I love this little DUC306Z, It’s a handy little 36 volt saw with confidence inspiring safety features, a narrow nosed bar to reduce kick back and it is comfortable to use two handed in various orientations. The kick back brake clicks off snappily with virtually instant chain stop. and it stops in about a second when releasing the trigger. The trigger interlock on top of the handle is applied intuitively and easily. It has auto power off within 5 seconds if it’s put down but will stay powered as long as the safety interlock is gripped so it isn’t an annoyance that needs constant re-setting between cuts. The power switch is within easy thumb reach and can also be double pressed for a short term torque increase but I haven’t actually needed it yet. The chain tension can becprecisely set by the supplied spanner and screwdriver tool, my prefence over tool-less too! It has a narrowish 90 px chain at 0.43” 1.1mm and cuts fast and cleanly. It needs a 11/64” 4.5mm file for sharpening. Bear in mind I haven’t used it enough to make a judgement on battery run-time or how robust it is, but it certainly looks right, feels well balanced and it’s peacefully quiet!

Highly recommend this chainsaw, done lots of logs, highly efficient. Just brilliant.Great price.

This is my second as first was stolen and I just couldnt be without one. Its a super little saw That can be used with one hand whilst on a ladder.

Great tool! Very quiet and the electric brake along with all the other safety features really fills you with the confidence to use it. Powerful enough to get through very thick trees with relative ease, it's lightweight meaning very manoeuvrable when trimming trees back.

Easy to set up and tension the chain. 200ml of oil provided - you'll need more to fill the reservoir. Good safety features. Cuts very efficiently and smoothly. Had difficulty finding an Oregon replacement chain (not that I need it yet) similar to the one provided. More chains available for the 350mm Makita saw.

Awesome piece of kit and more powerful than expected. Little but heavy for single handed use but not too bad.
