My first track saw and it's great. Had to cut out a panel in chipboard and it cut dead straight with a narrow kerf. Can't comment on the Bluetooth because I don't have the matching dust extractor yet.

Replaced my cumbersome Bosche and the only down side is that the guard gets in the way and fouls in the hedge on a close cut. Otherwisevery happy, but then I always have been with B&D.

A bit heavy when extended and requires practice to use. Does the job.
Should of purchased the 600 model as the only difference is the Auto start and stop... I would of saved more than a £100.
Compared with my old hedge trimmer this is a world apart. It cuts the hedge rather than push it out of the way. Weight balance is good and also the tool is lighter even though larger. Will have to see how well it lasts but at my age it will probably outlast me. Decent length of cord so I don't have to move the extension lead too often or have it hanging in mid air! Two handed operation makes it safer although if you need to hold on to a ladder with one hand then not so good. You do need two hands.

This is quite simply the best piece of kit I have bought for woodworking in the last two years. It is great for breaking down full sheets of ply. It is also great for small, accurate cuts where exact measurements are called for. I made an MFT last year and this saw, combined with the 1m Makita guide, bench dogs and v-slots for fences, makes the perfect setup for breaking down smaller boards. I thought long and hard about buying this but as I am already committed to the Makita 18v system, I really didn’t need to. The more I use this the less I use my table saw, which saves me time and effort in setup and cleaning up. Fantastic piece of kit.
