-- Pros --Quick to set up, easy to use. Battery run time matches or betters other battery mowers that I’ve used. RelativelyLight for its size. I’m happy with the cut for my lawn-- Cons --Battery charge time is longer than battery run time so three sets of batteries are needed for continious mowing. Would be nice to have some kind of mulching option. A parts list with the instructions would be helpful as bag had split on mine and I wasn’t sure if everything was there initially.

I bought this mower 2 years ago from Bunnings. Choose Makita as it is my chooses brand for cordless power tools and I have heaps of batteries to suit it. It has been excellent! Quiet, relatively light compared to petrol mowers, instant start stop is great for emptying catchers. In heavy lawns it chews through battery power (as a petrol mower dies through fuel and oil). If you try to cut too much it will cut out and you have to release the throttle bar and turn it on again, but that’s is a lot easier than a petrol mower that stalls and has to be pull started to go again. This model has a steel pressed deck so is ridged unlike some others plastic chassis. I’ve never had a problem with the plastic wheels like another review said. In fact the petrol mower I have at ... The build and materials qualities of this product are terrible. You will have to regularly purchase new wheels as the flimsy plastic ones are not suited to the task. The motor on mine started failing intermittently about 18 months after purchase and at about 22 months the unit stopped working altogether. After returning the unit to Bunnings an employee "jiggled" it and managed to accidentally get it working again only for it to fail again two mows later. On top of all that, the warranty claim process has so far been horrendous.

I have had very little chance to use the new machine, since we are so dry that the grass has just about stopped growing. However, I have a number of other Makita battery-powered products and am pleased with those, so I assume I will be happy with the mower too.
I have only used it once but it performed very well and seems very capable and powerful. It has two 18 volt batteries, and a twin battery charger, use both batteries to create a 36 volt machine. Very manoeuvreable and also
I've only used this once so far.Very nice product
Lawn mower is great and being cordless very easy to use. Assembly very easy as only handles and battery cover to put on.
the flatter the area, the smoother the bevel. I liked the model! no cable or gasoline is needed, the batteries are enough for 5 acres.
I brought this mower to cut the grass where i have a gardening contract, the plus points are its so quiet and clean to run, quick to set up, just plug the battery in and go, plenty of power to do the job, and best of all it does not stink my van out with petrol fumes. My customers like it because its so quiet. The twin battery charger that comes with it is a bonus too. Well built and easy to use the height adjustment is very easy, Would I still have brought it after using it? Yes
Purchased this some time ago from Bunnings. What cna you do when it just packs in? Batery well charged but motor for some reason not wanitng towork - where does one go fpr a checkup of why the electris are not working?
