I bought this to use with the line trimmer attachment initially (EM406MP). There is no shortage of output power in this configuration and with 2.4mm line it was able to keep up admirably with a large Stihl petrol strimmer (30cc I believe) on an overgrown community orchard. However, when used at full speed through thick weeds, the runtime is relatively short. I probably used 3x2.5Ah batteries in the time the Stihl owner went through one tank of fuel and I feathered the throttle wherever possible.This unit will definitely benefit from some higher capacity batteries which Makita should release in the due course (an 8Ah is probably a manageable with the shoulder strap). I have only just started using this product, but first impression: Appears well built - feels solid and switches feel good quality. Powerful motor action. Simple design - forward and reverse switches and adjustable movement of the handle. Does exactly what you want from an electric screwdriver and, so far, seems to do it very well!

Been looking at one ofthese for a while as losing strenght in my hands and it did the job putting my daughters bed together with ease and speed

Got alot of power; setting 2 is more than enough for . So far the auto shutoff hasn't been all too annoying with the <3s shutoff however I went into this knowing and expecting it.

Not used much yet but seems well made and comes with a good range of screwdriver bits. Convenient case holds everything needed.Two and a half years on this electric screwdriver has seen a fair bit of use and still works perfectly. I haven't disposed of my old manual screwdrivers but they certainly don't get much use these days!

Havent used yet, but as you would expect from makita looks and feels top quality
