Use it on a project to put some door jams on, walk a distance from from the parking lot up the stairs down the hall and didn't have to carry my compressor or air hose, shot about 20- 2.5 finish nails they all drove in except one was 1/4 " sticking out, light smack with hammer it drove in, it wasn't the nail guns fault but mine the nail was in a small tight wood knot, went a head and bought the straight 16 gauge finish nailer also.

For the few times I have used it (a couple times), this product has met my expectations. I have a bigger project that I plan on starting in the next few weeks and believe I will really know how well this product performs. At this time I give it 5 STARS. Weight and balance is appropriate and delivers on nail ability.
I have used a few (finish) nailer,- but this one is top notch! Super lightweight, I shot round about 300 nails,- no jamming. Easy loading, and features like depth adjusting screw and button triggered dust blow valve. It comes with spare protective tip (attached to the gun)that could be a little bit smaller though. And the price is unbeatable. Comes with case , safety goggles and a little oil flask. If you looking for a finish nailer,- dont look any further,- this is the one and only.
this is a great nail gun for finnish work and trim. stops shooting when out of nails so you dont keep on working thinking you are shooting nails when you are out. Makita is quality cant go worng.
Prior to purchasing the AF635 I reviewed the specifications Online. The Manual does not specifiy what type of nail to use I.E. gauge, length and angle 25 or 34 degrees. Info is available Online.
