Good product and high quality like all Makita tools, quite expensive though (like all Makita tools as well :)Only slight drawback is with battery it’s quite a heavy unit and very heavy on vibration - but these are all manageable in my opinion.

Had checked out prior to purchase and lives up to its reputation. Robust, minimal vibration, quick tool change and was able to utilise my existing set of LXT batteries. One thing to note is that this kit does come with the vacuum attachment that works ver well when hooked up to a Hoover.

Half the price of the 18v (if you have the batteries already). 99% of the time i use a multitool to cut out plasterboard and this is more than enough for that. However with a good blade it can handle cutting mdf skirting etc no problem as well.

I am in the trade but didn't realise from the advert that this makita had a different battery and charger than All the other tools I have .so now I have to buy another charger and batteries. Not happy.
Well made item. Easy to use. Very versatile. Only one thing, it's useless without a battery, please supply them with it! Reminds me of the old days when electrical items came without a plug.
I bought this for my DIY wood projects. Does the job perfectly and with good finish. I even tested on metal and I was happy with the performance
Great little saw. Bought to replace a 4 year old knackered Bosch cordless multi tool, about equal in performance, used it to cut 4m of chasing yesterday with a grit edged blade into plaster on render and performed ok. Vibration and speeds all about the same as the Bosch 10.8volt (now 12volt) but cheaper by £20 or so. Got a 1.5amp battery too for £19! It’s ok for the odd little cuts but you really need 2 amp battery minimum which I already have. Not bad at all for the money.
I had already purchased some of the Makita 10.8v range and was very pleased with those. This multi cutter appears well made and robust. I have used it to make a cut in a frame that would have been very difficult without this tool. It is light and easy to use, the vibration is minimal making it comfortable to use. Fitting the blades with the supplied and attached hex wrench is easy.
Great tool shame about having to have a 5mm Allen key to change the blade on you all the time performance wise just as good as 18v good speed adjustment with 4ah battery lasts long time
Great device, but I should have bought the full kit. I didnt read all particulars. So, I bought the machine, I then bought, batteries, then a charger. One package would have been cheaper!
