I bought this boot as i was looking for an all leather boot. My previous boot was made of modern materials and split in the terrain i walk in. I have just walked the Atlas mountains 12 days of dry mountains from temp of plus 34 up to the top of a snow capped mountain that felt like with a wind chill of in theminuses. They have endured everything i through at them, they grip well, waterproof, comfortable and didnt need breaking in.They look just as good after 12 days on rocky slopes as they did when i opened the box.Definitely buy!

The quality and size are perfect, they super comfortable and warm so wearing them in the city is great, but...They extremely slippery... Even my summer gumshoes behave better than this one.And its not only about snow or ice. Event cold pavement, or just dirty trail almost impossible to walk - always thinking about balance.Which is completely strange - they have a nice deep protector. It supposes to be good for trekking purposes, but for some reason It's completely opposite and doesnt help. Moreover, ground stick into it so when you go home you need to clean them manually every time, otherwise - tons of soil in your hall is guarantied.

My son loved them, used them in deep snow and feet kept dry. The sole has good grip in icy roads and compact snow. Would definitely recommend.
Took it on a hike without even needing to break it in. One of the best looking hiking boots in my opinion. Note to potential buyers tho, I downsized 0.5 and it was still half a size bigger than optimal.
It's a really good hiking boot. I have enjoyed my Mercury II very much. The new ones fit really well, and I have already gone on many hikes in Denmark. Now I'm looking forward to going on long walks in the Alps in South Tyrol. Excuse my English. Google Translate.
My first pair of MID hiking shoes. I am very impressed by the colour and the quality of these Mammut shoes, the GTX waterproof performance is brilliant. The grip is great and feels solid on all grounds. It keeps your feet and ankles warm as well in cold weather. I would say everything about this pair of shoes are very well rounded for all weather. However, on icy roads it was slightly slippery for me. Other than that I love this pair of shoes. Highly recommended for all activities (except for very icy conditions of course).
I had heard of this brand from friends and had been waiting for my old boots to wear out so I could justify buying a new pair. I got these and right away I was impressed with the craftsmanship of them. No stitching flaws or anything like that so I slipped them on and they felt like they were tail ready from the second I had my foot in them. I laced them up and hit the trail with my dog for a 4 mile loop. No hot spots, no stiff points, and overall I was very impressed. The trail was wet and I never slipped or felt unstable so the Vibram sole performed well. I’m a big fan so far and based on their performance up to this point, I would highly recommend them.
I had the Mercury III mid and loved them, but it turned out ordering the same model in the same size no longer fit my foot. So I upgraded to Mercury IV, same shoe size and the fit was perfect from the get go. Even my good old broken in Mercury III feel tight now.Tried them on a few mild hikes and loving them thus far.
