Upgrade from cheaper tripod. Much happier that this is higher quality.
I've had so many fails with tripods that I want to show this is a positive tripod, even though I'm a little disappointed by one aspect. It is light, compact, easy to work. It is also a great price so I'm still giving it 5 stars. The aspect I am disappointed with is that the head only goes completely up and down it doesn't go side to side. That means that I cannot easily set up for a profile photo using the tripod. It also means that is I"m slightly to the left or right it's the legs I need to adjust, not the head.
lightweight, very nice clamps on it's legs and fine camera plate. Don't has any hook to add some weight. Not very sturdy knob, protrudes out: better don't drop it's head. All metal, handle and joint. But could be a little more smoothly to rotate.
Don't be put off by the 'light' moniker, this tripod is good and sturdy, whilst still being portable.The sliding quick release mount is a bit fiddly (you have to turn a screw to stop it sliding around), but manageable.
