An excellent CD player with pairs well with my Marantz 50 amplifier. Setting up the network proved a little difficult but I was able to connect it after several tries. It's a versatile system which can connect to different input sources.

CD 50N

The CD50N is a very modern hi-fi component a real step up from my older marantz cd player with a very good cd player built in with excellent sound as well streaming services incorporated as well a very impressive unit.

This is an upgrade from my Pm6006, Na6006 and Cd6004 and what an upgrade in sound quality this is. If you like Marantz signature sound this is for you also. I chose to have streamer in the cd player simply because it has a larger display to show song titles etc, the player itself is set up via HEOS app which took a couple of minutes. The amp has no digital connection which in my case is not needed, Source direct is available with the remote only. The cd has all the digital connections. The package came with Chord Clearway leads. I’m also using QED XT40i speaker cable with Bowers and Wilkins 603. Also RPM 1 turntableWhilst organising delivery for these I was told “no Saturday deliveries”. Very nice unit!

The CD 50n is an excellent piece of audio equipment! Works well as a CD, streaming and NAS source.I paired it with the KEF LS50w's (powered speakers) and it's a nice self-contained system, with expanded connect capability.Bluetooth transmitter is wonky. HEOS is an arcane streaming interface.

Who said cd was Cold my one isn't.

I've had this 50n for about a month. At first though it wouldn't play all my Cdr I've made. But found if I put the cdr disc in the tray and then press play on the remote or player the cd tray will close and play. But if I close the tray myself by the open close button and the player reads the disc information time and how many tracks it will not play my recorded cdr. Very strange but not a problem now I know. It's a good cd player sounding clean detailed and has some warmth to it. Streaming music is new for me and the Heos app makes things easier streaming over Spotify and playing the the radio jazz fm or country it's all good.
