When Marc Jacobs Daisy came out in 2007 it was MY fragrance obsession to end all fragrance obsessions. I (over)showered myself in the stuff daily. I was in my early 20s then and I really do find this to be a very youthful, bright, sunny, bubbly, happy, borderline-fresh floral fragrance. It is sweet but not in a gourmand way at all, in an….almost honey-like way if that makes sense. I love violet and while I do smell it in MC Daisy, I wish the violet note was a bit more pronounced; that being said, I still really appreciate its presence all the same. I do get a lot of other white floral notes though they are not super defined. I definitely pick up on the juicy strawberry note, and come to think of it, I think "juicy" is another perfect descriptive word for this perfume as well. I personally have a harder time picking up on any of the base notes (musk, woods, vanilla) and find this one to keep pretty consistent and therefore rather linear throughout its wear and it just never really gains much depth. Longevity is average and silage is as well. I think a large part of why I love this is, yes, for the nostalgia and memories it evokes, but it is also just a really nice, inoffensive, “safe” fragrance.

I did receive this product from Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. To start with the bottle, it is very girly with the pink glass and very large, oversized daisy cap. The cap makes the bottle very impractical as it is so large. This is a bottle you would need to display due to its size. Although it is a floral, it is not a floral-forward scent. This is my first time trying a Daisy scent and although it smells nice, it is nothing I would have bought for myself. It is predominantly very sweet and juicy, definitely a summer or spring scent, and not very sophisticated. It is inoffensive enough to be a blind buy, especially for a younger person. Because it is not a parfum, the scent did not last very long but that is to be expected. This is another fragrance in that category I think of as body splash-plus. I don’t feel like the fragrance notes are accurate. I have seen iris, patchouli, and sorbetto/whipped cream. I only get the patchouli out of that list. For me, the first note is berries and it’s anchored by patchouli. Like BBW Sun-Ripened Raspberry from middle school with a musk base. After about 15 minutes the musk is more apparent. The two notes aren’t really blended to me - they just sit stacked on each other. 3 hours in the berry notes are faint. At 4 hours it is a skin scent. Barely detectable at 7 hours and after 8.5 it’s gone. It didn’t give me a migraine, thankfully. Light-moderate sillage (which I don’t mind). Not disappointed with the wear as it’s an EDT. Basic floral fragrance that cannot go wrong, but….

When i first smelled this perfume, i was in awe. I thought i had found my scent. It has a sweet scent but not the sharp-sweetness kind that makes ur head spin. It’s also kinda powdery & floral. Perfect for everyday wear & for perfume beginners like me. After a while though, i start to realise that it really did not have a strong staying power. I sprayed 4 times & 2 hours later the fragrance is gone. That’s the only con i have, should have known as Marc Jacob’s perfume have a rep for being not long lasting..I also started thinking that it was kinda basic smelling after owning other perfumes. Not that it was a problem, but it sort of became normal compared to other strong perfumes i have. That’s why i said this perfume is great for perfume beginners. The Bad: As much as I love the scent I'm incredibly disappointed by it's lasting power. As most perfumes almost "fade out" from the skin into a fainter version of themselves, this mysteriously disappears. Every time I use this I had to re-apply within a couple of hours and then re-apply again. I don't know if it's because it's a eau de toilette opposed to a eau de parfum or if it's something with my skin chemistry but this literally disappears without a trace... it's the strangest thing. I like a perfume that lasts at least 6 hours so I really feel like the lack of lasting power takes away from how awesome this scent is. The Ugly/Honest: As stated, the staying power needs massive work. For a brand like Marc Jacobs, I really expect more intensity in their fragrances. I owned some of the other fragrances and don't recall any of them disappearing off my skin like this one does. Since this is the OG, I think that's a bit backwards and disappointing. The scent overall gets 4 stars but I had to knock off a star for the poor lasting power.

Light, fruity-gloral

The bottle with its pink color and perky pink flower atop makes me happy just to look at it. It reminds me of the halcyonic days of summer. The scent is a fruit-forward floral. It has a light scent of delicate flowers...maybe iris?...to me, but the card that accompanied the Influenster package shows pink, purple, and white flowers on it so maybe those are the floral notes. It definitely is a fruity floral, but is grounded with a warmer, muskier scent. Daisy Paradise is an Eau de Toilette, so don't expect the scent to last long. I am using it as a bedtime perfume which it is perfect for...not too strong with a pretty scent to surround oneself as they go to sleep. Such a beautiful fragrance in a pretty bottle. This bottle is too sweet to put away, it is worth leaving out for people to see. I initially purchased this fragrance as a gift and it went down so well that I decided to buy for myself.
