I love this game and was glad I bought it as a gift because he loved it, and he isn't a major fan of RPGs so that says something! The interplay between dreams and reality REALLY compelled the psych major and English major in me, plus bats are my favorite animal so I love the bat motif throughout. All ages can enjoy this game, all Mario fans will play thoroughly with glee and the quirky RPG items & themes throughout make the Italian in my genes proud!

Great game, its good for those Mario and Luigi lovers of games. Reminds me of super Mario world and the like. It's one of those games that would be great for a younger child or the Mario enthusiast. This game is quite easy, and is one of those that is perfect for the "in between" moments in life, like waiting for a bus, or on a lunch break or something like that. Great game. Perfect for what the game is intended for. Great buy.

(DISCLAIMER: I HAVE NOT YET BEATEN THE GAME) I haven't played Superstar Saga, Partners in Time, or Bowser's Inside Story, but Dream Team so far has compelled me to, at some point, visit every one of its predecessors. The battles, overworld, dream world, writing, game mechanics, graphics, and aesthetic of this game are extremely compelling, as well as numerous more. The only things about the game that I dislike so far are the easiness (i.e. could be more challenging) and the infamous tutorials, which probably really only negatively affect those who have played every game in the series. These cons are of course small potatoes, and as such, paired with the many pros of the game, is why I would highly recommend Mario & Luigi: Dream Team to anyone who has a console in ... More(DISCLAIMER: I HAVE NOT YET BEATEN THE GAME) I haven't played Superstar Saga, Partners in Time, or Bowser's Inside Story, but Dream Team so far has compelled me to, at some point, visit every one of its predecessors. I went into this thinking of a friend's opinion about it. She said, "This game feels like one big tutorial, and it feels like they baby you all the way through the game." I guess if you can get past that like I did you can have a fun time with Mario & Luigi. Overall I'd say 8/10 for gameplay so far.
We love our 3DS consoles! We play a variety of games from Super Smash Bros. And Mario Party to Pokmon and Monster Hunter and all of the gameplay experiences thus far have been great! Support for wifi and local via Bluetooth makes multiplayer simple and effective. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for wireless gaming on the go or at home on the couch.
I've been with the Mario&Luigi series since I got Superstar Saga when I was nine. This game brings back a lot of familiar characters from the previous titles. The jokes and such are great as always, and I am in absolute love with the soundtrack. I've already sunk five hours in on the first day of having it, it's great!
Pros: Great graphics look like the anime. Large region with plenty of Pokemon. Lots of activities. Strong post-game and online features.Pokemon X/Y doesn't change how it plays over Black/White, Diamond/Pearl, and so on, but it looks great and is still a fun, satisfying time-sink for your 3DS. Cons: Follows the same formula as every other main Pokemon game.
Im a huge Mario fan and my wife purchased me the Mario and Luigi Dream Team 3ds XL Limit Edition which had a copy of this game preloaded in the handheld. The 3DS itself is awesome but the game was very disappointing. im about 10 hours into the game and find way to much reading.. long and tedious battles that make the game draggy. The 3d doesnt work well compared to the zelda games and other mario games i have played. I would have given it a 1 star if i actually paid for the game but it came free with the 3ds and it is mario. Not recommended for a true Mario gamer.
the overall story plot is a bit too kiddie for me, but it's very imaginative. the dialogue is funny and very well written. i dig reading the funny french accents. the main villain was too skimmed over, i wanna know more about him! the music is well composed. every soundtrack fit the situation perfectly. the battles are SO FUN. i especially like the boss battles a lot, but sometimes there's a unfair difficulty spike. on the other hand, actually figuring out regular baddie's tells is very satisfying! i love the animation of each of their attacks. very unique. mario and luigi's special attacks are very fun to execute. each are unique and rather cool! this game is about 40 hours but i didn't even feel like it was that long cause i had so much fun playing it! maps are ... Morethe overall story plot is a bit too kiddie for me, but it's very imaginative. the dialogue is funny and very well written. i dig reading the funny french accents. the main villain was too skimmed over, i wanna know more about him! the music is well composed. every soundtrack fit the situation perfectly. the battles are SO FUN. i especially like the boss battles a lot, but sometimes there's a unfair difficulty spike. on the other hand, actually figuring out regular baddie's tells is very satisfying! i love the animation of each of their attacks. very unique. mario and luigi's special attacks are very fun to execute. each are unique and rather cool! this game is about 40 hours but i didn't even feel like it was that long cause i had so much fun playing it! maps are filled with hidden away areas and stuff which encourages the player to come back again and explore even more post game. i love that. there are many minigames that will add plenty of extra playtime.
I've always loved this title from the first time I played it ever since it came out. I'm just thankful that I was able to re-experience a great title yet again at a great price, and in 3 days or less. It puts a smile on my face to have opportunities like this
