It's a fun game but if you've been playing since the originals you're gonna be very disappointed.Everyone rides in the same cart so it's a lot less competitive and it's not challenging like the old ones. They changed up the rules so much that I feel like it's not even Mario party. And bowser mode only has a select few mini games to play so after awhile it gets pretty boring. And the maps are way to small and so quick. It's definitely a game you need a big group to play in order to have fun. Also the mini games aren't too bad and pretty fun.

I love the Mario Party series. I've played all of them. I have 2-10. You all share a vehicle the way you did in Mario Party 9. I love the addition of being able to play as Bowser or against Bowser. I do not care for the way the instructions on each minigame are displayed now. I prefer them telling you the instructions, then showing you the buttons, and then the hint in the older games. I also wish there was a mode to play the boards and earn single stars for coins like you do in 1-8. I think a classic mode would have been wonderful. It is very enjoyable, though. I've been playing these games since I was very young. They're perfect for kids to adults.

Love pretty much anything MARIO and had so much fun playing MARIO party with my university friends when it first came out. This version I have to say is just ok. Not as many fun boards and mini games as some of the previous versions of this game. Also don’t really like how random the star rewards are at the end of each board. Yes, it allows pretty much anyone to win, even if you had bad luck going around the board or you weren’t very good at the mini games which is good I guess. But I had much more fun when you had to race around the board to get the stars before the other players and whoever ended with the most was the winner. Hope they change this if they’re planning on coming out with Mario party 11.

I'm a Nintendo 64 gamer at heart. So for this reason I don't like Mario party 10 because the n64 version is so much better. I don't like that you are now playing as a "team" against bowser. Very liberal in my opinion. A lot of the original competitiveness is now gone. This is not anything new since the last version also has this feature. With that said, I do like that you can now play 5 players. 1 bowser. But that doesn't make me like the game enough to play much.
Actually my childhood in a box. I love the graphics and how fun and amusing it is to actually play, and the multiplayer abilities are great! Love love love!
I really like couch co-op games and Nintendo is really good at delivering hit after hit (ermahged Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World and Super Smash Bros!).Having played the excellent WiiU Party, I was expecting a much better party game from this long-running franchise. It turned out to be .... Pretty average. There are 3 major game modes:* Amiibo Party: unlock boards with your Amiibo. Play classic Mario Party going round and round the board collecting stars. Yup. The least played mode for us.* Bowser Party: one of you will play as Bowser vs the others. We had fun with the 1-vs-Many mini-games. Taunt-o-rama!* Mario Party: There are about four boards to choose from with a variety of mini-games and level-ups/downs. Excel in these to collect the most stars and claim bragging rights. Our favourite standalone minigames are Fruit Cahoots (a bit of strategy and a bit of luck) and Jewel Drop (a competitive match-3 puzzler) and together they (sort of) make up for everything else.Overall: It's okaaaaay. A redeeming point is that the mechanics are quite well-balanced for even the most casual or non-gamer. This means you can break out the Wii U to play some games with your family/friends without breaking up relationships. Now MK8—that's another story, aye-
Had so much playing with my girlfriend. A lot of people didnt like the cart system but besides that mini games were where it was at. And of course it doesnt come close to the classic board games but its still very enjoyable to play with friends family and spouses. Game came the same condition as the picture and details shown. Even better came earlier then expected thank you again!
Previously I have played the game cube version in which it is player vs player rounding the board and trying to earn coins to get stars. In this version, all players are on a shared train and everyone advances with each roll of the die. Instead of playing mini games after each complete turn, you have to land on certain spaces. There are no coins to collect, and stars are handed out by simply paying certain spaces to whatever player rolled the die that turn. This game does not feel like you are competing against the other players, and does not seem to have as many options as the game cube version. I am disappointed in the gameplay and would return it if I could. If you are looking for an experience similar to the game cube, this is not it.
Having immensely enjoyed Mario Party 8 with its variety of mini games and the fact you all move around a board separately (like a real life board game), it became an instant hit with our family. A regular fun family games session. The mini-games were fun for all levels.Moved to Mario Party 9 when it came out. Massive disappointment. Notably that every player moves around the virtual board together. But still some variety in the mini-games.MarioParty 10Every single mini game is exactly the same premise you dodge, jump, run etc. Really tedious. Family played it for 4 hours 1 afternoon hoping it would get better or the gameplay styles might vary. It didn't. Absolute rubbish.Wii U Party is much, much better (and a lot cheaper).
The detail of this game is great. Im glad to have played mario party 10 again. Its not much, I would prefer other characters returning and more boards-and a more improved mechanic of the game. Other than that I dont hate it, I like it. The Bowser mode is great and pretty much the main thing.
