Accidentally released gas when I leant over side of boat. Maybe the pull cord could be higher up near shoulder. It worked well but when I didn’t want it too.
This is why I brought my MarlinPFD as it’s easy to get a new re arm kit and easy to do yourself just follow the instructions. Excellent value.
I had to buy a new cylinder after accidentally inflating the PFD the first time I used it (The pull cord snagged on the boat ). The PFD only cost $59.00 new and I had to pay $35.00 just for the cylinder and clip. No big deal really but very overpriced especially having to pay $10.00 more for the 'recharge kit' over the cylinder alone just to get a tiny plastic clip worth a few cents.
Thought that they are a little expensive and in some cases might as well buy a new life jacket. after putting on, green clip is easily coming off. Seems more flimsy than the original.
This is for an auto-inflatable lifejeacket. I needed both the cylinder and autofire head (which I brought in to your store). This is the piece that fits above the piece that the cylinder screws into. Your staff had never seen an autofire head and you had none in stock??. I purchased the cylinder only but had to go to one of your competitors to get the autofire head
Disappointing that I had to buy it, I bought my jacket back because it was missing the green plastic tag yet the canister was still intact (never been used), I found this in the 12 month check. To me weather it was missing at the time of purchase or fell off during the year, it's still a faulty product and should have been replaced, instead i had buy a new kit! They should supply extra green plastic bits
It would be nice to see the plastic clips sold separately as the Co2 cartidge is not required to be changed every check of the inflatable vest. On my occasion I changed it & put the date of purchase on it. Also marked vest with date of check. The kit was checked by staff at BCF to make sure it fits my inflatable vest. Good advice from staff re: date of manufacture of Co2 cartridge. When checking function of pull cord & activation lever the clip mostly breaks - so costly when clips not sold individually.Suggest BCF promote (short video) checking of inflatable vests and other marine safety gear, inlcuding trailer bearings etc as the boats in Victoria cant be used at this time
