After many years of trying many mills, from cheap models to expensive manual mills and even fancy battery operated electric models, I had given up and started grinding my own salt and pepper in a coffee grinder. Fresh ground salt and pepper on the spot for cooking is extremely important to a flavorful dish. Because of this I decided to try these grinders with low expectations. I was wrong.I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of these grinders. They are very well built and lightweight. The grinders are accurate in settings and, most importantly, wont get clogged after a few turns! Ever had a grinder that you have to hit with your hand to dislodge a stuck peppercorn? My too. Kosher salt comes out at a steady flow no matter your grind setting AND you really can accurately adjust the size of the product output easily and with accuracy.My only suggestion on this product would be to add a nylon washer inside the screw cap. This would make the screw cap (coarseness adjustment) harder to turn for some, but I believe it would allow the adjustment screw to stay in place easier. Seriously tho, I am really nit picking here and I believe this is more of a preference for me and not a design flaw. I really cant find any issue with these grinders.I feel confident that these will be the last grinders I ever buy. Do yourself a favor and step up to deBuyer products. I own many of them and I have never had an issue with a single one.
