Compared to the fork that came stock on my Giant XTC, this fork is truly buttery smooth. Where I noticed this fork excel compared to other forks was the response to small, consistent hits like riding over washboard roads or trails with a lot of chatter. After 50 miles of riding on these surfaces, I feel almost no fatigue in my shoulders or arms. This fork eats stuff chatter up every single time it encounters it. It doesn't take big hits quite as well, but is by no means jarring; it's still a quality fork for bigger hits. I'm running 100mm fork anyways, so big hit compliance isn't something I'm worried about.

This is a poorly designed fork, possibly having a lot of defect which I am unsure of what it is at the moment.I have just obtained my new Bomber Z2 today and I sent it back on the same day because it had squeak and knocking effect/sound that is so bad. I have used various fork products and never seen such poorly presented item.Avoid purchasing the Z2, it is definitely not worth the time. I am already paying a lot of postage in-out for warranty claims. Totally speechless. Just don't buy it.

I pretty much nailed the settings on the first ride and haven't looked back. This is an EASY fork to own. When it comes to service, I know, too, that it will be a simple job. I couldn't be happier. All the performance I can handle, at a cost I could accommodate, in a good-looking package that simply rides beautifully.

I’m not qualified to review a fork. This is going on my only bike (Surly Lowside). Going from no suspension at all to one sexy looking fork. While I’m doing fine on trails, my brain is rattling around in my helmet and it’s time to get suspend-y. Currently in the shop getting put on my bike so I haven’t ridden it. I didn’t realize I needed a different crown race so I wont be riding it until I’m back on the Mainland. What I can say is that the fit and finish leave nothing to be desired and the adjustment lever feeling is chefs kiss.

Almost immediately, I noticed that carrying speed was easier and the bike is easier to control. The front end has greater traction while feeling pretty supple. Some hits from rocks and roots on familiar trails are considerably less. Add the ~300g weight savings over the recon rl and the bike feels more balanced and it is easier to pop the front up. I know it says that rebound should be set to your weight but this heavy guy couldn't live with the rebound at 2. I set it to 5 instead. Will I wear out parts faster, idk? After 1 month with this fork, I am very happy with this purchase.

I literally could not believe it.Fast forward a week later and I got mine ordered and it was here within the same week from Silverfish. Thanks SF for being prompt! As a side note, I work in a bike company so I do get trade VAT on all of my parts.Price to quality ratio for this particular suspension fork is insane and setup is nice and easy. There is place for them and service manual says you should install them at first service. But that's too much. And these valves are large - high-speed rebound kicks in almost always, making fork feel harsh on rebound.My new Z2 had no rebound. Rebound adjuster had no effect. I was riding an older 2014 32 Performance with Kashima, serviced regularly, and it was great, but time just gets the best of any component and it was time to replace. I had read all the publication reviews of this fork and was on a budget, so I pulled the trigger. I've been riding it on the front range of Colorado for a year now and can confirm every article was spot on. It just works, and it works well. Not the best, but far from the worst, or even mediocre for that matter. No frills, it's stiff, it's predictable, and dialing it in is very simple with the Rail dampener. Are there better forks out there? Sure. My only issue has been the recommended air pressure by rider weight listed on the stanchion, it seems a bit high. I'm what they refer to in Europe as "petite" at 5'6"/135lbs and had to decrease pressure by almost 10psi to get full travel out of it with one volume spacer. I'm not sure if that will apply to larger individuals, but you may need to play around a bit. Also, you can change the travel with different air springs. I bought the 120mm fork, then swapped to a 140mm Fox air spring (around $40) after wanting more travel and it worked like a charm. I can always go back to 120 if need be.
