Flawed design

Did a bit of research and this log splitter seemed to be perfect. Initially it worked great, simple to use, fast, and efficient but after about 30 minutes it became noisy and not running as smoothly as it first did. Bolts at the front of the ram had become loose and the spring loaded wheel supporting the ram was striking the right hand (viewed from behind motor) end return buffer, damaging it and bending the wheel bracket. Tightened bolts and straightend bracket. No difference in operation so removed covers to find 3 teeth on the shaft driving the ram had sheared. Returned to mitre10 (1.5hr round trip drive) to exchange it, staff at westgate are great and very helpful. New one unpacked, assembled and resumed splitting. About 3 logs later (and these were reasonably small willow logs) the ram would not fully retract and yet again the spring loaded wheel assembly was hitting the right hand return buffer. Stopped using machine and will return as in my opinion there is a design fault. A guide or stronger wheel bracket is needed to stop this happening.
