Didn't get sent the hand thing to push down the debris, or an instruction manual, but no matter Youtube solves one problem, and big sticks work for the lack of said tool. Using it to mulch up the trimmings of our Pittosporum screen hedge - it's very loud - hearing and eye protection definitely required, but has served the job nicely and avoided me having to hire something oversized for my small job

The specifications state it can shred 40 mm branches, but this only applies if there are no side smaller branches, which most branches of this size have. I found that even 10mm branches with side branches, could not be put through the Mulcher, which is disappointing, as I mainly purchased it to cope with branches that are difficult for me to cut up for the green bin.

Box arrived re-sealed; axle came with washers on it and split pins at each end; bushes were already in wheels; front part and motor part were already put together and reamer knob tightened. All parts clean, although a few scratch marks, but not used. Bag had a 10-cm hole in it - seam not stitched up. Works well, but you do need to use pusher - it doesn't automatically pull material in. Noise not too bad. Difficult to pull apart to clean and to check that all is in order before putting away till next use. Joanne Wheeler

Positives:- It shreds much more finely than the 'big-name' shredder we had a few years back. Easy to assemble from the kitset; easy to manoeuvre around the place; stands steady whilst in operation; safety flaps [to prevent bits from flying out of the top slot] very strong and do a good job; the collection bag is an excellent idea and is stronger than first appears, as is the polypropylene/plastic body.Negative:- only one things that come to mind - when fixing down the hopper section to the motor section it can be a bit awkward trying to get the long screw to line up propery and engage; once engaged the screwing down seems to take forever.May be considered noisy [110dB] but so are all/most power tools.Cautions: Wear ear and eye protection.Stop and clear exit ... MorePositives:- It shreds much more finely than the 'big-name' shredder we had a few years back. I used my new Shredder Mulcher today after I pruned a plum tree. It did an amazing job. I am so happy with this purchase. Considering the price of Mulchers in my research, I am hoping it will keep on keeping on for me. It seems like value for money. Thanks
It’s pretty good but as it was damaged and I put in for a partial refund I cannot leave a more positive review as I think I should get a discount of some sort, as it went down in value instantly. I’ve only used it once with small branches, I can’t imagine it would handle 4cm diameter trunks well (0.39mm) but happy to do another review if I’m refunded some cash in these difficult times and after I’ve tested it out more. Please opt me out of all the My Deal junk mail
The matrix garden shredder for cost worked as hard as a much more costly machine I owned. It was simple to assemble and move when needed to.
Perfect for softwood and cardboard shredding. Very noisy. Easily transported. Tips over easily. Great for vineyards and other soft wood orchards.
Not very powerful, certainly unable to shred anything much more than a few leaves. I wish I had purchased a more expensive and powerful machine. All plastic. Dont waste your time.
Feed chute too small, product works very well on small items, approx 30ml. Guess that is why the chute is very small. Advertised for larger items, I wouldn`t bother. But very good on little stuff, still needs a bigger chute for leaf only input. Also needs constant repair, bits fall off regularly.
