I received these as a gift, and they are by far the best sunglasses I have ever owned out of any of my higher end sunglasses! The lenses are perfect on a sunny day on the water, on a hike, or just out and about. There is a good sturdy weight to them (not to heavy, not to light). They look great on. 2 times now, since 2018, the lenses have cracked from drops on hard floors. Maui Jim replaced them through their service department without any hassle or issues! I love the top notch customer service, and the awesome top tier quality of their sunglasses. I would recommend MJ to everyone! The initial price point is high, but the quality is there! Thank you MJ! Happy customer for life! No need for any other high end sunglasses companies!

Spending a lot of time by the water, in the sun etc. they give optimal eye protection, even from gnats flying in your eyes while on the golf course, don't believe the hype on the 1-star reviews - you will never make those people happy. I forgot to mention - the repair Department is on top of their game, customer service- their top notch. The other eye glass companies out there are terrible within this area. The quality of the glasses is far superior - good job Maui Jim on your Service Repair Department!!!

I have six pairs of Maui Jim Sunglasses with various lens colors. This is my second pair of Black Matte Rubber Frames with Blue Hawaii Lenses. I loved my first pair. However my wife and I were traveling overseas and we meet a nice young man who admired my sunglasses. He had an identical pair and the frame was broken. He could not afford to have the frame repaired or replaced. I have been blessed in many ways, so I took my sunglasses off and gave my pair to him with the case too. He was so pleased he didn’t know what to do except give us a big smile.
Bought my first pair of Peahi's (with brown lenses) 8 years ago, broke a lens a few years later but used Maui Jim's excellent repair service and they came back good as new. They are still going strong today, the lenses are unscratched and the frame is pretty much the same shape as the day I bought them. (The frame is a little battered and worn, mostly due to my neglect.)I wandered into Sunglass hut today and much to my surprise found they still make them, with EXACTLY the same frame only the lenses are now blue. They look fantastic and fit like a glove. It was love at first sight.I now have two pairs of Peahis as I suspect the old ones will probably last for many years to come.
I've had my Maui Peahi for about 7 years and they've been great. My wife has the Maui aviator styles and her lenses get scratched pretty easily whereas mine have stayed in good shape with no scratches. The only downside is that the rubber matte finish wears off over time and leaves them looking pretty ratty. But, you can just get the frames replaced and it's like having a brand new pair of sunglasses again. I cannot stress what a great service that is. I won't buy another pair of sunglasses.
I just bought the Hawaii exclusive with green lenses on Maui a few days ago. I used them playing my last round of golf on Maui a couple days ago. The lenses and outstanding! They enhance the colors of the ocean and green on golf courses.Great customer service at the HQ in Lahaina too.*They came with a hard case and cleaning cloth but no cleaning/carrying bag? It's necessary for one so they don't get scratched carrying them after the sunsets etc.Every other brand comes with one. Not sure if they forgot to include one or what?
Been an MJ customer for over 25 yrs (multiple styles). Have had same pair of Peahi’s for over 10 yrs. Most durable sunglasses have ever owned. Still no scratches and frames are still strong/not stretched out/great shape given a lot of wear and tear (they hang on my chest when not in use). HCL Bronze lenses have always worked best for my environments (Maui and SoCal). Worth every penny!
I bought a pair of Maui Jim’s about 3 months ago after the sales lady talked me into them. Sprucing about there amazing quality and even better warranty.At first they where good, after 3 months the frame had stretched so much I can’t wear them anymore. They just fall off my face.I approached my local BCF for a warranty and was told that because I wear the sunglasses on my head for 5% of there life while I’m inside a shopping centre it would cause them to stretch. I might also add that my head is an average size…..Hat size 57Never in my life have I had this problem with a 20$ pair of servo Sunny’s. i expect better quality and warranty’s when I pay 300$ for a pair of sunglasses.Don’t think I will be buying another pair soon.
I have been wearing Maui Jim sunglasses since I discovered them in a Santa Cruz surf shop in 1990. I have had several pair over the years. The initial experience of trying them on for the first time was unbelievable. Kinda like drinking FIGI water for the first time. I have sensitive eyes to the Sun and the Maui Jim grey lenses are a perfect calmness for my eyes. But the reason I continue to wear them is the repair department. They do a great job in fixing the sunglasses with repair or replacement glasses and lenses. Personally I have tried several brands over the years, but Maui Jim's are the best product out there for my vision. I never leave home without them!
